Illusion great ball. Gets through the head good and has good back end to finish. Right now im probally using it as benchmark ball. When my Resurgence is too much or need something that go longer down the lane ill turn to illusion. I been able to use it on medium to light condtions.

Sherman, it wasn't the league I wanted to be in (most of my new bowling friends are in it), but a few of the summer league people are in this league, too, so it's not like I don't know anyone in this league. laugh

Melissa, great bowling...remember what you did right that night and try to repeat it. laugh

Well I had a much better outing than last week. I didn't dust the gutters hardly at all. As a matter of fact the only time I did gutter was when I was going for the ten and it just barely went right and ducked into the gutter just before it got to it.

The one good guy on our team is a college stundent and he had to quit because he had to reschedule some classes. I guess league night got in the way of his education. Bummer. The other guy we were supposed to pick up this week seems like he didn't show plus we were down one guy who was on vacation. So basically out of our 5 man team only 2 of us showed up. To top it off we also bowled the vacant team. With only two of us on the lanes we were finishing up while the other teams were finishing their first games. Early night for me.

I bowled a more me type of night. I had a 169, 178, and a 168 for a 515 and a 171 average for the night; I estimated my average would be around 170-175. Luckily, my average went from a 138 to a 155. I was able to string a few strikes together here and there and I missed some easy spares. I rolled the ball well and I could tell when I muscled it and of course it hit the pocket light. On one or two occasions my thumb was a little sticky and I pulled the ball slightly; a bit of my slick powder helped with this. All in all I only missed the pocket twice last night which I'm quite happy with. Now I just need to work on my spare game more.

Lastly, I was finally able to get in contact with my coach to reschedule my lesson. I need help with my releases and swing. She had to cancel on what would have been my first lesson back in June and I've been trying to reach her ever since then. She's been a real busy lady working with Team USA.

Thank you soooo much everyone - I am so excited to have finally done it given how much time I had been working with the one guy at the lanes. I practically knocked him down when I ran (literally) to tell him what I did. Pretty awesome feeling and 1 I can't wait to experience again.

Definitely going to try and remember how everything felt last night so I can do it next week. I want to have 3 good weeks in a row :-)

CG - What happened to you last night? Where were you?

Alex Skolnick Trio was playing at Club Cafe, couldn't pass it up. Apparently you can't prebowl for our league either, which was a real let down. I'm starting to get the shakes - haven't rolled a ball in 8 days now!

Uh oh - you might have to go before next Thursday - don't need you shakey, you guys have some ground to make up - I think they only won 1 and got beat down the 3rd. :-(

Well a late change of mind lead me back into the PBAX league last night. I've never bowled on a PBA pattern before. The lanes we bowled at is typically flooded, I'm over 10-15 bds to the right compaired to other houses. Well they got a new machine, stripped the lanes down to the pins and laid down the viper pattern. Not knowing where to start. I started at my normal spot for this house. Right ft on the 20 and throw to the 5-6. The ball always went brookland, but was gettins some strikes there. I tried moving to the left a few bds and the ball never came back. Tried another ball with the same results from the 22bd. Spares were hard, the ball eitehr slid to the pins or if it catches a dry spot it would hook a lil, was getting harder to hit 6pin spare later in the night. Ended with a 168.

Second game, I tried another line, since I didn't want to hit brook all night. I moved 10bds to the left starting right ft on teh 30, throw to about the 7 and slowed the ball down. I was able to hit pocket more but was consistant at all at the break point, either going light or high. Left some splits and missed a 10pin by an inch. Shot a 134 eeh

Third game I was able to high pocket more consistant but the ball would get there with no power, leaving 1-2 pins on the deck. But still having a hard time getting them, left two opens and with only 2 strikes the game, those opens hurt. Ended with a 157.

Forth game started good, was clean until the 5th, then the line I was playing to the 6pin spare was dried up and the plastic was hooking by the middle of the lane. Pocket shots were still there, but again with no power when it hits the pocket. I had 2 really good flush shots but wasn't to repeat it. I think I was over rev'n the ball a bit and it would not carry. Shot a 142

so 168,134,154,142. for a 601. Got a 150 average......though the numbers are low, it was very fun. I need to slow my rythm down when it's my turn and focus more on getting to the breakpoint. I need to try and let the ball do the work rather then trying to rev it up.
