I Just purchase a new Ebonite NVD and picked it up last nite.

I was just looking at my ball and noticed that the ring finger hole is drilled at least 2" deeper than the index finger hole. I have it drilled finger tip with finger grips.

The index finger hole is just barely deeper than the insert, but the ring finger hole is I would have to say about four inches in depth. Is it possible that after they drilled it that maybe it had too much side weight and they drilled it deeper to offset the weight instead of a balance hole? Is it normal that they do this?

It sounds like that is what happened.

Yeah, they were probably trying to get rid of extra side weight. How far to the right of your grip center is the CG mark? How far above or below is it? Is there a weight hole?

The CG is 1 1/2" to the right and 1 1/2" above center of grip. And maybe 1/2" below my ring finger.

edit: no there is not a weight hole. Other than no weight hole it is drilled exactly per the drill sheet.

Yep, probably just taking out a bit of extra weight to keep it legal.

With the CG being so close to the ring finger, it sounds like you have a ball with a "Pin-In", meaning that there is a short distance between the Pin and the CG. With the CG so high in the grip, as everyone else has already pointed out, the driller most likely offset the CG imbalance by taking some additional weight out of the ring finger area to make it legal.
