What is the difference going to be between this and the original Cell? More backend? Go down farther?

Good find GP!

Ample: Very tempting. Problem is unless I start bowling more tourneys or find a sport league to bowl in, I wouldn't be able to use it that much. It would just collect dust. As it is right now, my Cell is sitting in the box at home and doesn't go with me to league. It needs a lot more oil than my house league can provide.

There isn't a Cell Pearl in the US. I believe the Strike Cell is an overseas release. As for the banned url its probably not a site sponsor but an ad as part of a rotating cycle used by the servers.

The guy who works at the Pro Shop I get my stuff from is sponsered by Roto, and he said he's getting his in about a week or so. I'll get to see what it looks like up close, since in the picture you showed, the ball looks pretty sexy.

IT looks great and is very tempting. It's probably going to be extremely expensive out the gate. GP good find. I've been wanting a pearl ball, and it would get used. I think it would be better for me to fine tune my game first.

Demo: I am guessing that it will have the same price point as the original Cell. If it was coming out from Storm instead, it would be higher priced. I didn't find it, it found me. I was shooting back e-mails with Schlem yesterday. Nothing coming from Storm in the near future though.

Our other 2 teams had 5 on their rack. Confusing at times? Yes. But, if it is the right ball for you/the condition, I wouldn't shy away from it just because other people own it too.

I personally think that there are balls that are just as good if not better than the Cell. Just a personal opinion.

They're definately is balls that are just as good as the Cell. However, the design of the core had never been done before, and it made for a really great ball motion, that was easy to be drilled by drillers, and it could work for just about anyone. I have one (two, but drilled the same) and it works really well for me. Unless I see something great from the Pearl, aside from the way it looks I probably won't care to get one. I have enough bowling balls as it is...

The Cell was a tester for Storm putting out the Dimension. When they realized the sucess of the Cell, they put out their own version. Also, it allowed their staffers to throw it. I have a feeling that the Pearl will have as good if not greater sucess as the original because Roto is now seen as a company that puts out a quality ball. Not that they didn't before but they had nothing like the Cell before. In 6 weeks it was their best selling ball ever.

Not that they didn't before but they had nothing like the Cell before. In 6 weeks it was their best selling ball ever. I think the Pearl could be an even bigger success because it will match up better to typical house shots than the original. Pretty safe to assume that the Cell is too much ball for most league conditions. That hasn't stopped them from getting all the use that they do, but I think that's why you hear some complaints about the Cell having a short life span. Use it on less oil than it was intended for and possibly also not care for it properly, and the ball will go flat prematurely. Being more versatile and less oil absorbent, the Pearl will be a smash hit. Even then, it probably won't bump my Break Pearl from my bag.

I like to be different and stay away from the more popular stuff. I like to be able to pick my stuff out without having to closely inspect it. Besides I can find other equipment that does just as good so why get the popular ball?
Its not just with bowling balls. At work I try to get tools that are different from every one else. That way there are no mix ups or trying to figure out what belongs to who.

Looks pretty sweet. The original Cell was a little bit too much ball for our house I think.

The Cell works great on drier conditions. One of the houses I bowled in last season was short and light and several people would use it. They normally were low rev, medium speed bowlers, of course this really screwed the lanes up for people with more hand who was already covering 20+boards.

The Strike Cell is 1 Part Pearl, 2 Parts Solid The Hybrid Cell is 2 parts Pearl, 1 Part Solid I think if you had all three and a spare ball your arsenal would be set...

The Cell Pearl would be a great addition to anyone's arsenal if they didn't have a pearl ball or wanted a new one. But I still think you could have complete arsenal with the Cell (or Dimension), the Uprising, the Rayzr and a spare ball. As for Roto-Grip putting out quality products I would have to add one thing to that statement. Roto-Grip puts out quality products at relatively low prices. Sounds like a win-win to me.
