Thats great, but when I tried to give an example of why native apps would be better than web apps, I used gmail/outlook as an example. Instead of saying, I understand now, you decided to tell me why you thought I was wrong. Thats partially why its a mockery. I don't think anyone is wrong but it seems you make me out to be wrong. All I want to know if anyone is or can make a program for the iPhone.
I explained why I thought you were wrong. I gave very detailed points. Here was your quote:
Its like looking at mail on gmail vs. getting your gmail on Microsoft Outlook. Not much of a difference, but an overall richer experience on the native mail application.
No details. What about Outlook do you actually like better?
I checked out seeqpod. It has very little functionality - it seems to be a pretty limited media library browser. I tried to "Discover" some new progressive rock - I typed in progressive and it didn't know anything. I was able to browse to an artist I know is progressive though, so I'm not sure what discover is supposed to do? In any case, do you have any examples of webapps that you think look great on an iPhone, that have more functionality?
