Well it turns out the shark was the least of my problems!

Not a lot of entries, but we had to figure out which patterns was which during warmups. I figured out two of them (Shark and Chameleon) but the other two (Cheetah and Viper) I got mixed up. Scorpion was the finals pattern.

Very first pattern for me was Shark. 181 start.

Next pattern I thought was Cheetah was actually Viper...198.

Chameleon was up next but I played it wrong and got it late...161

Last was Cheetah and this was the worst game mentally. I tanked this game. I had a 172 but 4 of my opens were all makeables. I missed 2 10's and a 5 pin. Also whiffed a 3-6-10. I figured I didn't have enough to make with that mental lapse.

Until I hear "Qualified 2nd was Vernon Hampton with an 836." I couldn't believe I made it cause I had my tennis shoes on ready to watch the finals so I had to lace em right up. I guess my huge cap helped me. I got 31 pins in cap.

4 righties and 1 leftie. Leftie stuck around until I got in. I played up 10 and tried to keep it simple. I had another mental lapse in the 9th when I whiffed a 7 pin! Unfortunately my opponent didn't strike on the first ball of the 10th and I squeaked away with a victory.

Championship match I did okay even though I mentally lost focus again! Miss a 10 and a 2 pin! My opponent couldn't find anything so I was lucky enough to win the tourney!

The win was nice but I still have work to do with my game. I need to eliminate these lapses!

A win on the PBA patterns is a win on the PBA patterns...enjoy the victory, Guns, no matter how poorly you think you did. laugh

Guns,
Congrats. A Win is a win. You gave it 110% and were able to over come some opens and win. WTG

Congratulations man, that's awesome! Doesn't matter how many you knock down, just matters that you knock down more than the other guy. Great job.

I appreciate it everyone. I know there's still work to do regardless. Still 0-0 to me.

Coach,

The check may arrive sooner than you think.

Hey Congrats! I had my first tournament victory (regular pattern) just a few months ago. I'm glad you've gotten to experience that feeling. Keep up the fine work.
