Hi, Transplant Yankee living in Houston area, (Go Giants)
Trolling the Net and come around stumbled across this site and I'm very glad I did, the wealth of information and help is unbelievable.
Well about me I've been bowling constantly for 1 year, bowled now and then as a kid.
High Game: 239
High Series: 644
Average: Around 160 (three summer leagues 156, 166, 158)
Started with a Maxium, two months later got a Columbia Scout Reactive Blue & Gold (ND colors), one month later purchased a Brunswick Fury Pearl, and have purchased 3 more since then. (look at signature for rest) Yes, I have gone off the deep end rather quickly, but I love to bowl. Which has made the wife not too happy, but at least she knows were I am and even joined a league with me (now if I can get her to join the Dark Side, HA HA)

Well, just wanted to say hello.
Paddy

Welcome baroncad...being a Patriots fan, I won't hold rooting for the Giants against you. hehehehehehe

Wow, you had a busy summer...I only bowled in one summer league. Are you bowling fall/winter leagues? If you are, keep us posted on your progress...that's what the "Fall/Winter Leagues 2008" thread is for. And don't be afraid to post any questions you might have about your game, or maybe help someone else out if you can. smile

Welcome to the site, and welcome to the sport! At least you can get your wife to bowl with you. Getting mine out there is worse than pulling teeth!

Welcome paddy.

I noticed that you have four balls, two at 15 lbs and two at 16 lbs.

This is NOT a good idea. All of your balls should be the same weight.

Well the 15# Fury is a warm-up ball to get me loosened up and the white dot is only a spare ball. For my league games it strictly the 16's (unless it's a 10 pin, then out comes the WD)
