What weight is the cut off for when the ball makers go from a dynamic core to a pancake? Specifically, Hammer, Brunswick, Storm and Ebonite. BTW, I am a noob and this is my first post.

Weight change from pancake to dynamic, usually happens around 12-13 pounds, but differs by ball, make and line.

Don't know what is going on? Post says Can't Access, tried twice, and can't access My Stuff, My Posts. Trying to access the post itself, gains nothing either.

I quit. Failed for the third time, and I can't even look up other links, or go back to the original post. I quit. Tomorrow, I will probably find 3 posts.

OMG, this one took!!!!!

Welcome Johnny 5.

Now for the question. A few manufacturers do the change at 12 going to 13 while others have done it at 13 going to 14. As long as you don't have any physical problems as an adult male a 15 lb ball shouldn't be too difficult to handle, but I would suggest not dropping below 14 lb unless you have some sort of issue that would cause you to go lower.

Yeah, I've had double posts, and complained. I posted that you could usually see the post in My Stuff, My Posts. But, this time, I couldn't access My Stuff. Couldn't open the original post. Nor, open another post either. I was being held hostage, just pushing Submit.

Strange things happen at 2 am.

Thanks for the replies! I am looking for a ball for my 13 year old son and was hoping to get him a 12# ball with a dynamic core. The Hammer Rep said this " Actually all of our performance balls have a dynamic core in them, even in the lighter weights. Although the core in the lighter weights may have a little different shape, it is still strong." By strong does he mean it will hook hard on the back end?
