Today was my worst games because of low series.

103-104-132 = 341

1st game was most worse because didnt practice and lack of strength the game. I got double gutter in 1st frame, 6 splits, and 3 spares. 2-4-7-6-10, 2-4-6-10 twice, 2-4-5-6-10, 2-4-7-10, and 1-3-6-7. 2nd game is again worse. No strike at all. I can't explain. 3rd game is okay. I didnt eat before I go to bowling and traffic in I-5. I ate 4 chicken strips and french fires, but no help my strength in the game. Lack of agility.

Well I had a decent showing in the last two games, unfortunately I took way too long to adjust. Shot a 149, 180, and a 230 for a 559 series. That and my spare game was practically not there in the 1st game. Luckily as a team we won all four games, so that's a big plus!

I had another dreadful outing this week. Games of 151, 180 and 163 for a 494 set. My spare game was atrocious. I went 0 for 4 on 10 pins but 2 for 2 on 7 pins. I also had some problems with release or arm swing and add that to having footwork and sliding issues and it makes for an interesting night. I also had a hard time finding a line that worked consistently and when I did sometimes I just executed poorly. I also had three gutter balls tonight. Things are just out of whack the past two weeks. We lost all 4 games.

tonight was one of those scratch your head nights. Practice was good, worked a good groove. Played with my Kintec but then the lane changed. One of the opposite played was lofting the hell outta the ball, like 8-10ft PAST the arrows. Which I think in theory pushed the oil farther down and more into the carry down. Started stand 35 throwing 18th at the arrow to the 7-8 bd. As the night went one, I was having to move RIGHT to carry the darn ten pin. Line would hold for 4-5 frames before another 1-2bd move was needed. Threw a hard fought 207 first game, second game I moved a bd right, ball change to Venom and threw the front 5 then solid 10's for the rest of the game. Moved another 2bd right starting the 3rd game and was having to throw a bit faster. Fought for a 202.

207, 232, 202 = 641 New listed average was 219 so I was -16 for the night but won 3 of the 4 games, last game by 2pins and series by 7...position nest week but sitting pretty in 4th so doesn't effect us one bit. Though I battled the 10pin all night with carry, I'm fairly please overall cuz I could have stayed where I was comfy and threw pocket 9's all night. Knee pains didn't come til the 3rd game but wasn't near to thursday's pain.

I wouldn't say I'm in a slump but I'm in a funk. I just can't put three good games together with any regularity. Tonight I started off great with a 245. Then the middle game the ball finished weak I searched a bit and had 2 splits for a 175 game. The next game had 5 ten pins, a split and I still cant believe I missed a 6 pin in the 10th for a 190 game. I hit my mark it's an easy conversion but I saw the ball begin it's break then grab oil turn up and slide past. We won 5 of 7 points despite my 610 low series. If I had hit my average or a little above the last game we could have taken all 7 points for a change. Maybe one day I'll remember I'm a little better than this?

I've been making average lately but I've sort of been in a funk like mike. I've been getting by just barely keeping my average but I haven't had a good stand out night in quite some time. I'm due for one haha. I bowled tonight and shot 216, 196, 226 for a 638 for a 212 avg for the night. I was a bit upset with the middle game because I left the big four. I was happy with my spare shooting tho. 100% on all make able single and multi pin spares. That rarely happens for me haha.

The best way to describe my league bowling over the last 9 weeks is a nice slow steady burn.....I have increased my average steadily to a 189 from I think 176(can't quite remember)...I haven't had any all world games or series, but have bowled over average in all but 5 games and all but 1 series...only three series over 600 (618, 633, and 639)...but most importantly, I have found a real good line to play at this house, which is new to me this year....

last two weeks were 639 and 633....feels good to help the team instead of drag them down...

for those of you that say barely keeping your average is like being in a funk....I hear ya...but I'll take that over extreme highs and lows any day....

A major kick in the mouth last night for me. First game I had a great look with my Momentum Swing and rolled up a 257. Game 2 and 3 were both absolute nightmares as I was still able to find the pocket but could not carry. 6 ten pins in BOTH games, and I made all of them except the last one in the 10th of game 3. It ended up costing my team the 3d game, and the dropped points mean we didn't take the league lead back. In fact, we went from 2d to 3rd, and next time we bowl is a position round. Sometimes it stinks to be the anchor bowler, and this is one of those times. My teammates bowled well enough to be in first place, and I didn't come through.

It was the strangest lane transition I've seen in that house. Weather outside was warmer and much more humid than previous weeks. Usually the back-ends scream as the Track area starts to open up. My ball wasn't burning up last night, but rather squirting through the break point. I moved left and moved my breakpoint couple boards right, and would leave a 5-7. I'd move outside and the ball would check up early. I tried every ball in my bag and couldn't solve it. The only thing I can figure is that my ball speed was getting fast, but it sure didn't feel like it.

those are the most frustrating nights, my monday was like your. Though you can get the pocket, you need to find a way to get carry. It's good you tried different balls and lines. But once you figure it out, you can apply it next time it happens as your first attempt to fix it.

You can try a few things without even moving your feet since it seemed like you lined up first game with 3 bad balls/no carry and the rest were X's. Look at different spot on the lanes. If you like looking at the arrows, look about a ft past them for a lil longer shot at the breakpoint, or before the arrow to lay the ball down more to burn off some energy or use the lane on oily lanes. This combined with ball changes per what the lane needs should work.

My Week 16 bowling (BowlSK)

Clean 208 first game, horrible second game, near average third game where I was clutch in the 10th to win the point (only one of the night) for my team. You should see what I titled the blog post in the slug below.

A buddy of mine shot a 300 first game in the other league, so that added to the buzz of the night. Just looking forward to the two weeks off because I think my brain needs it.
