Is the reason the non-slide leg finishes at 7:00 is to get the proper distance from slide foot to ball?
On my second day back to work from vacation I was in the middle of a five car rear end extravaganza. Tonight, at work, I was stretching out my hurting lower back & neck. Bending at the waist and totally relaxing to touch my toes, I noticed the distance of my bowling hand to my slide foot. It needed to be brought in about half the width of a bowling ball to be in the right location (imaging a bowling ball in my hand) to the inside of my slide foot. I brought my leg around to the 7:00 position (6:37 looked perfect) and sure enough my hand had moved in closer to my foot while my shoulders remained square.
I had always thought the “balance” leg was for balance not hand location.
