!?! I think that was probably kph, not mph. Was this in person or on TV? If TV, was it PBA competition or international?

Must be in kph. How did you know they were throwing 30 mph? I think Robert Smith and Eugene McCune throw about 22-25 mph range for there spares.

Hey everyone, i changed my approach and stopped muscling the ball and my approach is much more natural and not rushed. Since I did that, that ball has been coming off my hand smoother than ever and I have more control than before. the problem is that i cant make spares anymore...why?

I have also noticed that it is easier to turn my ball and keep my wrist cupped. Am I right when I say it is because there isnt more gravity pulling my wrist down? Just curious.

You will get faster without muscling the ball. If you work on a muscle free swing your speed will increase, however if you concentrate on the free swing you might lose some revs in the process causing your ball to go straight.

But that is what I would work on first if you want to gain speed. Then I would work on not grabbing the ball and playing with hand position to gain revs.

Me personally I like being a stroker.. It allows me to play from different parts of the lane... If I wish to play the outside on longer oil patterns I can without worry. If I want to play the midline I can. I have issues with playing the inside line which I am working on now, but I am able to keep it manageable if I have to play that line.

The easiest way I shoot spares is I visualize the shot in my mind and figure out the line that I need the ball to take to make the spare.. The I pretty much line up so that there is an immaginary line going from the center of my chest right through the pin I need to hit and walk straight toward my target and follow straight through.. I can generally hit my target about 90 percent of the time when I take my time.
