Breakdown that causes a ball to hit high (leave a 4 or a late tap on the 4 and it's time to adjust) can be remedied by a small move in or a little more ball speed. If you're still in the pocket but you start to leave weak 10's, it's time to switch balls. Breakdown is causing the ball you have to use up energy too soon, so pull out a shinier ball with more length. This will get your entry angle back to where you need it to be to carry better. Enjoy the new weapon!

I have to call ask how it was drilled up. I will find out later tonight and let you know. What can you find out about how I throw by the way that the ball is drilled?

If you have the ball, you can give us a rough idea by telling us where the dot (probably white?) is in relation to the finger holes.

This looks close to a label drill. Its the typical drilling most pro shops will do when someone doesn't ask for a specific reaction or even the one some will use even if you ask for something specific. Its great for the typical house shot and is a nice controlled reaction.

Hey Infernocal, I am really cool with the guy in the Pro Shop that drills balls. We have thrown in tournaments together (although not as teamates) and talk often about bowling. I told him that I wanted a ball that hooks, especially through oil for sport shots and pba patterns but I also wanted it to where it doesn't lose energy and starts rolling half way down the lanes. The end result is a ball that continues to gain energy even after the break point and it drives through the pins. Let me know what you think when you watch the video of me throwing. I throw the NVD most often but I think there are a couple shots that I throw my Fury Pearl.

Wow!!!!! This must be the new "MUST HAVE" ball! Every pro will be buying at least one of these. The company that sells it will be making a fortune!! It must sell for a least a thousand dollars a pop!

A ball that actuallt GAINS energy after the breakpoint. Where can I get one? rotfl

I thought that all balls started to lose energy once they left the bowlers' hand?

sorry if I mis explained it. The ball doesn't die in the middle of the lane. No need to be an @ss.

The drilling I was referring to is suppose to do what you are explaining. It skids in the heads, gets a little further down the lane and stores energy for the backend.
