I just recently ordered a pair of Dexter SST 1's. I'm switching from a pair of Universal Etonic's. The soles aren't interchangeable but what do you guys think of the Dexter SST 1's?

In general, Dexters are very good shoes. The main thing to look for is fit and comfort. I've found them to be sturdy and rarely have had issues with them. Others may have been dissatisfied. It's somewhat similar to tires on your car...I like Michelin and wouldn't use Goodyear , while others will swear by Goodyear and at Michelin. If the shoe is comfortable then it's correct. The interchangeable sole feature of the other models is really nice, but SST 1's are a good starting point.

Off topic post by me, but I agree Michelins are great tires.

isnt Dexter's SSTs using Goodyear rubber???

I know some of them are Goodyear rubber for the heels.

As for tires, I get what ever I can afford at the time to suit my purpose.
