Use a preshot routine on each ball. Check your foot position, your hand. Relax your arm and hand. Focus on your target. And, take a deep breath. Do this on every ball to get relaxed and rid the nerves.

alright well today was the first day of try-outs, heres the funny part, she didnt oil the lanes, in fact they havent been oiled in three days, i had to use my spare and i was still standing far left and going way out to aroun 5th board. But i averaged a 162, which will make the team but i wanted better, it really sucks.
Normally oil acts as a layer of protection between the lane and the ball, minus the backend. If there's no oil, it's basically throwing a ball on wood, which will naturally Track up the ball, or cause scratches and marks on the ball. I would assume this doesn't happen so much on synthetic, but on wood it sure does.

The part of the ball that makes contact with the lane, the Track, will get burned up quickly if they are used for dry lanes and are not meant to be used on those conditions. This leads to the ball losing its reaction and a resurfacing needed. It will happen on synthetic if there is no oil, its friction and too much friction is bad for the ball and the lanes.
