Been working with a coach and grinding away at the stuff we've covered, and after a summer of PBAX I'm starting to see the dividends. This video was taken on a recent trip to another base. Near as I could tell, they don't put down oil outside the 10 board, so I'm playing 16 to 10 here with a 900 Global Break. This shot was really too dry for it and I put it away after this frame, but I'd just bought it and wanted to give it a spin. The more oil the stronger the backend this ball provides, it's a real screamer.

Anyhow, feel free to flame away. Fundamentals are getting better, I think.

Balance is pretty good. I notice 3 things:
  • Trail leg stays behind you. It should end up a bit further left - not straight left, but farther than it is.
  • You are upright in the lower body, but bending over at the line. The ball was released a good 6 inches above the lane. Try to get more knee bend, with a more upright chest. This will help you stay under the ball much better, and really help you open up the lane.
  • Last, the armswing looks a little controlled, especially right after the pushaway. It looked like your left hand was on the side of the ball, with your right hand holding the weight in your stance. Get all of the weight of the ball into your left hand in the stance, and make sure the ball will stay on your hand without squeezing, then really work on letting gravity control your swing.
Also, side note, the board will take the link and convert it so that the movie is embedded, but you have it marked on youtube as not being embeddable. That will make it so that people cannot get to the video, in about 5 minutes.

OK, fixed the embedding thing. Thanks for the critique, cgeorg!

To add to cgeorg's critque, you don't really use your balance arm. It'll help especially, if you start using your trail leg.

I think you might have better concentration if Brittany Spears wasnt playing on the loud speakers.
