That Australian, Belmonte. and the Fin, Palermaa, only use 1 hand that is recognized having fingers inserted in the ball. The second hand is not inserted in the ball, but is used as support.

Jason Belmonte is for all intents and purposes a right hander, since the ball sits in his dominant hand, the right. The left hand mostly steadies the ball but the ball swings on the right side of his body. What Okorimbo is referring to is you can't switch from right hand dominant to left hand dominant.

I think an undrilled ball might be illegal not because of lack of finger holes per se, but because of excessive top weight. Of course, this depends on the particular ball.

I call a crossover strike "going Jersey." I guess it's a New York thing wink

Dave, used to be that Brooklyn crossover was for righties, and Jersey was for lefties. I guess it depends on which way you were facing on the Island.

Yeah, calling what most of us call Brooklyn's those from Brooklyn call Jersey. I bowl with a guy from Brooklyn and thats what he says whenever someone crosses over, righty or lefty.

I got a lot more Brooklyn strikes today, it's as if I'm aiming for it...thats just the most effective way for me to roll.I devoted maybe half a post to it in my blog

i tryed for a brooklyn today with my old t-zone ball today. got it but i tryed again and i took out the 4 and 7. sometimes its hard to hit your target but it's still fun to see if you can. i took out the 7 by its self and the 10 on the next frame. then tryed for the brooklyn again and hit the 4-7 again. so i'm just wondering why brooklyns make people so up set. i can hit 1 one time and not the next. so luck is a good thing it seems sometimes. but i hit the 1-3 on the next frame and left a solid 8 pin. now thats something you dont see much but it was there. i think that me missing a singel pin spare can make me more mad than a brooklyn. humm this thread makes me wonder about how i aim now. i need to be more accurate on my shots. but thankful when i get a brake. just mostly because i'm not a pro laugh
