That is a very valid thing to do... a pearlized version of a solid coverstock significantly impacts ball motion - often a solid/pearl combo with the same core makes a great one-two punch for league nights that experience a lot of transition.

Having a pearl and a solid with the same core is a great thing to do. Especially when conditions change over an set like CG said. When they take the same core and put it between 2 pearls or 2 solids is what I am talking about. There will be slight differences but you can probably have the same difference in motion by drilling the balls slightly different. But, who wants to get the same ball twice when we can try something different thumbsup

Well despite a few stitches in my face from surgery Thurs I went and tried the new Venom today. The ball is very clean through the heads, goes long and is pretty angular as expected. I rolled 724 with it and the Paradigm mixed in, it had plenty of carry and the more hand you get in it the more back end pours on. I don't think it'll handle the heavier oil without some surface change but for medium to drier lanes it should be a worth while ball purchase. Good looking ball too, maybe the nicest in the series.

LOL no wife just yet, the GF "tolerates" my bowling without doing me bodily harm (yet) and actually bought her first finger tip ball the Playmaker. Soon we're are gonna have fights over who gets to get the next new ball lol

Nope, I found a lump after I got back from a trip to FL. I had a nasty cold so it could just be a swollen lymphnode which is common from what they told me. It didnt go away with antibiotics so they cut it out to be on the safe side with possible malignancies and all, I get results tomorrow. This is the 3rd time I've had to deal with this, last time I was 14 and before that I was 4. Either way it won't stop me from league Weds so it cant be THAT serious.
