If you need to play that deep on a house shot, sounds like you may need to add another lighter oil ball to your arsenal.

looks like my winter plans changed a bit, Just going to bowl the one scratch league and instead of doing the PBAX league, I'll save that money and roll it over into a tourny a month. Would give me good exp points and also a better chance to make more money.

iduno man, the house that it's at is a flood everynight, so I doubt they will take the time to strip off their flood and lay down the right pattern. it's gonna be their first time doing this league too so we'll see how it works. We're regulars there so the owner knows us and keeps us informed on the hoop.

Started my Wednesday mens league with a pretty lackluster outcome. We have 4 bowlers establishing averages so we only won 6 out of 30 points. I took 2 of those in game one. I shot 582 is all but still ended up 3rd highest that night. I guess coming in with a 194 has its benefits. I had a hard time getting any backend out of my equipment because I polished the [censored] out of my equipment. Today I am going to sand them down and take the polish off, so maybe I can get an earlier read and more consistent backend.

Hmmm,
584 to start (191,221,172). Started out of the gate 2-8-10. Actually picked it up. Heard someone make a funny gesture to that being a tv shot. Next game I pick up the 4-7-10.
My teammate started out rough but I was proud how he picked himself up. Whenever we have open bowled together he usually bowls on a beat up shot; the first game showed he wasn't used to playing with oil before and he has a Power Groove. I told him one game does not define him out here when he finished his game with a 117. He winded up finishing with a 525 (212 finish with the last 6 in a row and a 196 his third). I told him honestly I was proud of him that he hung in there. We also managed to take 5 of 6 to start.
As for me, I'm getting ready for a PBAX League tournament at Normandy on Saturday morning. 4 games across 4 different patterns. Top 5 bowl stepladder on the fifth pattern. I'm donating but I'm here to learn.

J, I hope they lay down an actual pattern for you guys. I know how frustrating it can be when the lanes are flooded and it's so tough to get a decent look into the pocket. I'll be at UFC 88 on the first weekend of my Sunday league, so I'll post-bowl for that. We're debuting our bowling shirts with the logo I designed, on the 22nd of Sept
