First post here so be gentle with me.

I’m on holiday in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and am thinking about buying a new ball to take back with me to the UK and am looking for some advice.

The best prices seem to be online at places like [Banned-URL] so I could get a ball shipped to my hotel and then have it drilled either in Vegas or back home. Does anyone know roughly how much I will pay for drilling in Vegas as here in the UK it will set me back about $90 (which include finger and thumb inserts).

I’ll be staying at the Orleans so could get the ball drilled there or the Gold Coast.

Any comments, thoughts or alternative suggestions would be most welcome

Thanks

They run the mini eliminator at the Orleans I am not sure if they guy that runs that shop is afiliated with the Brunswick guys or Mo Pinel, but I would be surprised if he/she wasn't.

I have heard good things about the guys at K&K Pro Shop there, and the shop in the strike zone run by Eric Forkel and Don McCune.

You may want to contact those guys and see what their prices are and if they have a ball that you are interested in and see how much they want for it.

Have a great time in Vegas, and welcome to the site.

Cheers

Many times here in the states, the online prices seem cheaper until you bring the ball to a shop and start having it drilled. There are also pit falls in buying online, like getting the wrong weight, pin placement, etc.....or having it get lost in shipping. Prices in my shop tend to be about $10 - $20 higher drilled with inserts then the internet price. But, you get it right then and there and can make sure that all stats on the new ball are what you want.

welcome to the sight and welcome to the states. Enjoy Las Vegas.

Thanks for the help folks.

I did some checking and the K&K shop sell balls on ebay for a deecnt price so I will get in touch to see how much extra it would be for drilling. I'll then get in touch with the Orleans shop to see if they can get close to that price. It will be easier for me at the orleans as I could snesk away from the wife and get a ball before she has the chance to stop me.

Now all I need to do is pick a ball. I've been using 2nd hand gear for a few years now but fancy something new for a change. My current favoured option is the Columbia Momentum Swing but I'll probably change my mind a few times before my trip.

Cheers
