I'm assuming it isn't drilled yet.

1. Take it to a Pro Shop with a good reputation, figure out what your PAP is, and have the Pro Shop guy recommend a layout for the ball based on how you roll it. A little time and effort required, but well worth it.

2. Practice with it, and when you think you've got it dialed in...practice some more. Go to different houses with different oil patterns, differenct lane surface types etc. and see how the ball behaves. Further down the line as your skill set grows, see how changes in your release affect the ball reaction. Bottom line, practice practice practice.

3. Also, take care of the ball. Clean it after every use and don't keep it in your car in the heat/cold or anything like that. This will help you get the most out of your investment. Enjoy it, it's always exciting to get a new toy!

I'm sure you already had an idea of how you wanted it drilled before you even ordered it. Its a matter how long you want to it go before to snaps in or do you want to arc it into the pocket. All pending your style and how you play the game.

First thing you have to do is find a driller to trust. Usually, someone can racommend one. Does your center have a Pro Shop? Ask there.
Secondly, tell the driller what it is you want the ball to do. There are options for every ball. Choose the one that matches what you want.
Thirdly, ask questions. Don't by shy. A good driller will be glad to explain what he is doing, and why.

Make sure, if the option is there, that you get to roll a few frames with the ball, ideally in the same center as the shop. If you have any concerns, fit, span, tightness or whatever, bring it back and show the driller.

The worst thing to happen is that you have a ball that doesn't fit properly, and you don't know why.

If I was in your shoes, I'd drill it the most agressive way possible and adjust your game to the ball. Also get a plastic ball for spares if you don't have one. That ball won't pick up the corner pin that well. Plastics can be had from your Pro Shop for about 60-70 drilled.

talk to the Pro Shop guy for the details.
