i tried a 16lb ball and still have it too. i use it to practice with. i can tell the difference when i use it. i thought i would give it a shot, but after one game, there is no way i can do a second one. but i bought it to help with strength. i dont use it much but when i do.. it hits so hard it throws pins out onto the lane. sweet !

Well, the AMF came in today and the MoRich should come in tomorrow. I'll get them drilled at the same time. I really like the burgundy color on that AMF.

I like Bowling Dynamics in Phoenix, myself--I got a ball from them at the State Tournament last year, it worked well for me (won singles at the City Tournament with it this spring), and so I try to go back there whenever I can. I still haven't become comfortable with any of the pro shops here in town.
Anyway, I hope your switch works out for you! YES!!!! Go see Dave at Bowling Dynamics!!! He has drilled several balls for me, he knows his stuff better than anybody I have met, and most important he will fit your ball correctly. I have only had a few drillers in my 30 years of bowling and I highly recommend Dave.

I don't drive and Phoenix is quite a ways 24 miles and probably 45 minutes. My coach recommends the fellow I'm going to tomorrow.

Well, I went to the Bowling Dynamics in Chandler. Rusty was very knowledgeable and was able to properly fit my ball. That Solid MoRich LevRG is great I can finally stop using that 15lb Ragin' Inferno. I'll get that Heist drilled next week. I've decided I'm not going to do a fall league, I'd like to get a lot of practice and maybe some coaching sessions.

One thing to consider about winter league is that the centers usually give you discounted open play. I know in my area, I cannot afford to practice in centers that I do not bowl league in. The prices are just too high. So while I can appreciate your thought of lessons and working on your game this winter, practicing those new skills is going to cost you.....unless you are in a league. A 1/2 season league or mixed handicapped league that is not very competative might do the trick and get you discounted open play.

I'm kind of in a similar boat as MithShrike, but its more along the lines of a forced taking the season off, or at least part of the season. I normally get discounted prices at some centers when I'm not in a league there. I just ask for a lane for practice and get charged the discount price. They figure I've rolled in a 4 ball bag and asked for practice lanes that I must bowl there.

Erin This is the case in most of the centers here but the one closest to my house between the hours of 3 and 5pm all games are only 99 cents. Unfortunately at this time the lane conditions are usually bone dry so it's a little more difficult for me to judge how my balls will react on a different condition.
