Since you mention the Columbia Blue Dot, for years I have been trying to figure what distinquishes it from the Columbia White Dot. The hardness rating is now the same (75 - 78). When the Blue Dot first came out it had a hardness rating of 90, truly hard, truly slick. Since the White Dot and the Blue Dot are essentially the same ball, why does Columbia charge $10 more for the Blue Dot and what happened to the 90 hardness?

Yeah, Viz-a-ball's are kinda cheap in terms of quality..I had a pepsi ball and it doesn't look nearly as good in person as it does online.. But that's just from my personal experience.
