OK so i just recently made a post about getting a good strike ball and i think im going to go with the widow venom. Now I also need a good spare ball to go with that ball. Does anyone have any suggestions about which spare ball to get to go with that ball? (Sorry i just am new to bowling and dont really know which balls are good)

White Dot, Blue Dot, Maxim, T-Zone Ice Storm etc. are all essentially the same bowling ball from different companies. Pancake core w/ a plastic cover. They all cost about the same too. If you want to spend a little more for something unique, there's the Widow Spare Ball or Viz-a-Ball has all kinds of cool stuff. Find a color you like, get it drilled up, and then practice practice practice with it.

If you have a brand you like, go with them. If you have a color you like, buy it. Like Chubbs said, they are pretty much the same ball with similar costs. The Widow spare ball and Vis-a-balls are more expensive though.

Spare balls are easy. You typically want them to go as straight as possible, so just about any cheap plastic ball will do fine. You can get a Brunswick Viz-A-Ball, which are a little expensive for a plastic ball ($70-$90) but you can get some pretty cool looking balls. Or you can get a normal one which is typically between $40 and $60.

There is also a clear spider ball that's reactive, by Ebonite. The coverstock/line is called Optyx.

As much as a fan of Brunswick balls. Do not get a viz-a-ball. One they are expensive and two.. its just a clear coating over the ball that easily get damage and there is no way you can fix it unless you order another ball.
