I have a Cell, a BW solid and a Scout Reactive. The last two I think are nearing the end of their life span but I'll probably use them as long as I can.
So I was thinking about getting some new balls and here's what I've choosen:
Roto-GripCell- Solid Reacitve, Heavy-Med Lane #1 G-Force Nebula- Pearl Particle, Heavy-Med Roto-Grip Venus- Pearl Particle, Med-Dry Roto-Grip Illusion- Pearl, Med. Roto-Grip Odessey- Solid, Med. Hammer Rayzr- Solid, Dry
And I''ll probably get a white or blue dot, but some sort of plastic ball to throw at spares. And I'll probably start with the bottom ones first seeing how there is very little oil here in San Diego except at a couple of select houses.
What do you think? I'm open to other suggestions, and I would like to narrow that down to 4-5 balls if that is possible. I don't really know the other brands all that well, but I'd like to try to stay within the same two or three.

Brunswick suppose to make good stuff. havent had any complaints about my twisted fury yet. just made in mexico. not knocking it, just wonder sometimes if thats good. the copperhead is suppose to be good too. i want to see the smash zone my self.

I don't see a ball that replaces your bw solid, I'm not sure about the grand illusion I have seen mallot throw it i think unless that was the regular illusion, what about the Track uprising, or the lane #1 ths. You need a good benchmark type ball like the bw solid to base your arsenal around.
I recommend getting two of them, one pin over fingers, one pin under, one of them will usually carry.
I've seen a video comparison of the BW Solid and the 900 Global Break, and their paths were almost identical. I definitely like mine, but don't see heavy enough conditions to use it very often. It's a trained killer, though.

The benchmark out of the list above would probably be the Odyssey. Chubbs you were right about the 900 Global Break. It is pretty close to the BW solid. If worse came to worse then I could just get another BW solid.
CoachJim, wouldn't a better benchmark ball from Track be the Temper or the Tantrum instead of the Up-rising? I like both of those seem better as a benchmark, and the Up-rising would be a better replacement for my Cell (but that's not going to happen). I kind of like the Temper over the Odyssey.

The guys in Bowlers Journal said the Uprising is the best all around and most versatile ball in Track's line up, they also said this is the ball they should have came out with first since it fits in the middle of their line up and would be the center piece in any arsenal. One of the local shop guys is sponsored by Track and said the Uprising is the best ball he has thrown from the Ebonite owned Track company.

Oh ok. I wasn't aware of that. Then I guess the Uprising would be aliright as my benchmark ball. I guess it just looks like it is advertised as a much stronger ball. Thanks Coach.
