Correcting your mistakes in practice or during league? I might suggest that you take the be as brain-dead as possible approach during league. And do you know why you are pulling the ball, is it because of too much knee bend, gripping the ball, your release or something that I haven't said yet?

I suffer from the same thing from time to time. Practice great, then stink it up in league play. I am actually in the middle of that right now. In practice you are more relaxed and you bowl well. Once you get into league, for me at least I start overthinking EVERYTHING, and never really focus on the one thing..the shot at hand. This causes me to roll erratic inconsistant shots.
Just try to slow down and relax. Don't get down on yourself if you happen to throw a couple of bad shots. Visualize a successfull outcome. Get into a preshot routine, and do that on every shot. Your focus will improve, and your game should improve as well. It usually helps me when I do that,..just simplify the game, and try not to overthink. Set up, find your mark and let it go.

Do you notice your approach being slower or faster in league? I would suggest that when you throw your practice shots in league. Take the last couple of shots to throw the ball aggressively so that way it gets rid of that amped feeling and now you are calm and relaxed and ready to do what you know how to do. Coach is right about your grip. I had that happen to me. I asked the guy in the Pro Shop to open up the thumb hole a little because it was tight and he opened it too much, so I threw a lot of bad shots because I had to grasp the ball so that it wouldn't slip off my hand. Again, I would suggest the brain-dead as possible approach, where you don't think about anything up on the approach. If that doesn't work for you then a song might be a good way to block out everything, especially one that works with your bowling timing. For myself I like Requiem of a Dream or its remix works.

It could be mental that becomes physical. In league your scores count and somewhere in the back of your mind you are trying to make the perfect shot and muscle the ball down, while in practice it seems to just happen since there is no pressure to perform.

And when things start to go bad work on one thing at a time, to get back to a comfortable area where you're bowling well. I would suggest maybe concentrating on your release point if things start to get dicy. That way you'll be too distracted with the release point to overthink anything else.
