Jock, there are times that I am deathly afraid of the 3 - 6 split. I have enough back end to almost go through the 3 - 10 hole, which I have luckily only done once, but have seen more this year than others. And, I can get my spare ball to go straight to the corner. I used my spare ball for the first time in a while because I was missing ten pins. And, I couldn't get either ball lined up correctly.

I still shake my head in wonder how I left a very common 1-2-8-7-10????? All I remember is that I lost the ball off my hand. Release was too lax. Hit the 6 full and glazed the 3. It was a ball that I would have picked the 6 off the 10. I guess the 3 slid thru to the 4, and the ball hit the 9.

I am just as good (bad) on the left side bucket. I can get 3 of 4 any way I line up.

In any event, I am leaving far too many spares standing.

p.s. Thank you to everyone using BowlSK. Keep the feedback coming - I read it all, and things that you guys want get priority.

Ok, back to the bowling. 772 over 4 games, spread pretty consistently. I got there early for some practice, and was really trying to work on just rolling the ball. Near the end, I also practiced increasing my speed a bit, with fairly decent results. In the last game, I got to use the increasing speed adjustment, and it worked out really well. I needed a double in the 10th to win the high game pot (no one was over 200!) Buried the first one, my best shot of the night. Forgot to ROLL THE *&%#$ING BALL on the second shot, tugging it 2 boards and going through the nose. Such is life. My 2nd best set of the the league so far, and more than 100 pins better than my last 4 outings. Also my 2nd highest spare percent for the league I think. Missed 1 single pin (sutpid 5 pin, I felt myself drift left, but didn't stop. Hit my target, but from further left at the line, and went right by it), and only left 1 split.

Last night I used the Cell for the first time. Nice strong reaction. We were bowling on the Chameleon. I was trying to play straight up 5 like I was last week with a little success. I was able to stay out of trouble for the most part. At first the Cell was too strong so I was using my Special Agent. The further inside I moved, the better off I was. By the 3rd game, I was back to using the Cell and playing 12 to 6. By the end of the 3rd game, I was about 17 to 7. I shot 182, 198, 186. Good enough for 3rd for the night out of 12 teams. The important thing is that we won all 7 points. I was having thumb problems all night. At the end of the night, I had the Pro Shop guy sand out all of my thumb holes. Much better now. He said that when he drilled them that when my thumb started to swell a little I may need to take some more out. After he was done, I took some 600 grit sandpaper and wet sanded each of the holes. I should be good to go for next week.

Way to go GP. For the minimal bowling you're doing since coming back, you seem to be scoring pretty well, especially on the tougher shots. Keep it up.

P.S. You should join the chat. No excuses.

I am scoring okay, not bowling well though. I just need to get my consistency back. I am keeping myself out of trouble with the lines that I am playing. Basically I am not leaving a lot of splits and giving myself make-able spares.

If you get the chat server up and going, I will get on smile

I wondered why it was so peaceful and quiet over there. I went through the same thing, I ended up having to buy another computer.

I said our team might make a jump, and we did, from 13 to 7. We were 20, 5 weeks ago. Well, we had a reality check tonight, losing 7 of 9. So that will set us back some.

As for me, did you ever think you bowled better than you scored? That was me. I was pleased that I hardly pulled all night. I got a good roll on the ball. My release was there. But, the scores were so, so. Speed control was critical, and I slowed up some at times. Tried the song in my head thing. No luck.

It's like my Father once said about birth control. "Rhythm works, as long as you don't do the Polka."

202, 216, 203, 189 for 810 for 4 games.
