Tell CoachJim, the film says you could learn bowling in just a couple of minutes.
That is why it took 30 minutes just to tell us about it.
I think it is funny how the duck pin bowler could probably still score well in today's game, where Ned Day would have to unlearn that figure 8 release in order to be competitive.
I also think it was funny how Marion Ladewig showed how to push away with the arm locked out in front of the bowler, but the woman she showed it to managed to start the ball properly without locking the arm out in front, this makes you chase after the ball which causes fast feet.
I also like the part where Fred and Ethel got into it a little and Fred popped her one right in the mouth, then Fred pulled out his flask and calmed down a little ahhh the good old days. You know when people showed up to bowl in ties and fur coats without those darned PETA people throwing blood on them.
I don't feel comfortable taking bowling instruction from the duck and cover announcer from the old hide under your desk during a nuclear attack
movies they used to show us in school. I hate that authoritative voice, it makes me think the room is filling up with b.s.
