Tonight was a real struggle. I picked up some bad habits in PBAX practice on Monday, and they carried over to Wed. But, I realized them, and stopped them in a frame or two. Gotta just stop pulling ball behind me. So, tonight went 190, 191, 210, 202 for 793 for 4 games. A little under average, but considering the troubles I had, I'll take it. The big news was our team made a jump from 17 to 13. And, we won all 9 points tonight. There were 2 teams tied in points with us, 2 teams ahead by 1 and another ahead by 2. We may jump another few places. Not bad for a team that only had 7 points of 27 in the first 3 weeks. We may finish in the tip half yet.

I came in flat after a long bad week. I had my Black Widow Bite put back to OOB condition and I promptly started out with a 165. I went back to my old stuff and rolled 211-200 which isn't all that great for my average. The up side is on a night like that we still took 5 out of 7, that's what team is all about. I'll line it up next week.

Mike, do you notice the ball react differently when you resurface it. I do. Monday on a Scorpion pattern, I scuffed up my ball, Conqueror, to handle the longer oil better. So, tonight, I went in early to bring it back to 1200/polished. It slid and slid, and I couldn't control it. Seems the ball has to wear down a little before it comes back to reliability.

I am starting to lean towards never polishing a ball, because the reaction is so inconsistent the first couple of games after you polish it.

I am starting to lean towards never polishing a ball, because the reaction is so inconsistent the first couple of games after you polish it. This happens when you dull up a ball too. I think its normal. What you have to do is don't alter the ball cover immediately before having to use it. I was taught this quickly after working with higher performance equipment. I still think its good advise. Erin

When i got my resurgence it was way to agreesive until about 10-20 games on it the reaction started to melow out and i was more able to use more often. It was more perdictable. I guess like shoes need to be broken in.

Frame by Frame Bowling: http://www.bowlsk.com/games/view-series.html?series=3230Tonight one of those night could of been better. I had to deal with open play bowlers on my pair and caused them to put all the oil down the lane. First game the ball was just hooking too early and hitting flat on back end. Until secodn game i made a move with feet, target, and hand postion then found reaction i wanted. Game 1 = 4 Opens. OUCH! 2 Splits, including 1 Sour Apple 5-7-10. Wiffed 4 pin and pulled ball resulting in only 3 count in 10th frame on first ball for 144. Game 2 = 1 open. First frame 4-6 split. Came in light and after that made a adjustment and didnt have open frame all night after that. Ended up with 212 Game 3 = No Opens. Clean Game. I have had at least one clean game every night this summer. 215 Series 144-212-215 = 571 Could of been better if i made adjustment earlier in first game. First game killed my series but at least i improved after each game Team Wise gave away 36 pins but we won all 7 points.
