Amplesound, I just read your post reply, I hope no offense is taken cause I thought your reply was funny and taken in good humor. That was a good one. Eddie

KingBlueBadger:

The Paradigm cracked and so did the Passion. There was a design flaw. Before I bought mine, I e-mailed Storm about all of the issues and they said that they corrected them. I bought mine in Feb of 06 and haven't had an issue.

As for as other balls cracking, it can be to design flaws or drastic weather changes. I have seen people throw balls down the lane that were in their car in a Chicago winter. Needless to say they got back a lot of pieces of a ball.

I have never heard of this. I have bowled for some time and tend to accumulate equipment. I abuse some of it pretty good, too. The only one that cracked was a manufacturing flaw that was taken care of by the Pro Shop involved. (Vendetta pearl - they replaced it)

I had one ball crack while sitting in a climate controlled basement. It was a red Ebonite Budweiser Urethane, my first non-plastic bowling ball. It cracked from one side of the thumb all the way around to the other side of the thumb. At the time it was maybe 3 years old and I only stopped using it for around a year and was actually planning on getting it plugged, it was semi finger tip, to finger tip when I saw it was cracked. Someone might have dropped it, who knows.

saturday my buddy dropped my kinetic in his back swing. it hit pretty hard and even bounced. no crack and no scuff. go fig. also saw a ball bounce on in the pit onetime too. no crack there either. so i pretty amazed at how well they are built. i also throw my t-Zone underhanded almost about to the arrows when the lanes dry up after bowling for 2 hours on thursdays. a good pitch out there and it hits hard. it takes a beating. i've thrown it across lanes sometimes too just to see how much it takes but man it takes it laugh

I've watched someone overhand the ball down the lane. It wasn't a hack but a very good bowler. He was involved in a doubles pot game one day after league was over, his team had already lost so he tossed his spare ball at whatever pins were still standing. I've also seen several other good bowlers loft the ball well past the arrows, I mean it looked like a slow pitch softball arch. This is normally when a 7-10 was left.

i loft sometimes but no more than a foot or two. i have got it to the arrows before but i have used my old ball to do it with nothing that is what i use now. but sometimes stuff like that can get you into trouble if the wrong person is working.
