Nice hold on those lanes there. I agree with the muscling part, you seem to be in slow motion instead of free and easy. As for the release, I can't tell if you are tugging with the thumb or what, because it doesn't really look like you are hitting up on the ball to me. I am probably incorrect though as usual. Your wrist is a little too cupped for my taste, and you may benefit from a straighter wrist position, which may help you get out of the ball a little cleaner. Its hard to argue with a 246 game though.

Desert Dog, I don't think your wrong. I took my mouse and keyed up on the slide button and had him throwing over and over. It looked like he was squeezeing the ball and gripping with his thumb, then pulling up hard with his fingers, poping his thumb out. I used to do something similar to that, and my thumb would swell and my finger tips would swell. He sure drops in that pocket solid.Eddie

Nice hold on those lanes there.
I was thinking the same thing for the 1st and 3rd shots. They both started early enough that I thought they would face up.

I concur with Lefty. You either have one strong wrist, or a light ball. You seem to flip it very casually. Let the ball roll off our fingers closer to your slide. You should get more length and back end turn.

I been asking around and many people are pushing using lighter equipement to be able to throw harder and put more put a lot more lift and do some fancier looking bowling, but I see a lot o that fancy looking shots, getting away from them. I tried going down to 14 lbs. because of my skeletal structure injuries. But the lighter balls, would over throw, over lift sling them, etc. The using too light equipement certainly would explain a lot of problems. I need to go down to much lighter equipement, But I'm gonna have to figure out how to control lighter equipemnt. Eddie

thx for the advice guys. And yes, i grab with my thumb.I have tried a snuggly fit thumb hole but that gets me into real trouble. So i use a little bit to big thumbhole and that explains the grabbing with the thumb. It cured the swelling of my thumb which occurs with the snuggly fit.I also use easy slide on my thumb. It keeps my release the same ( at least ,i think it does ) For dennis and lefty : Good thing u did not bet on the light balls i use.I dont 16 lbs is the weight i have been using since i started bowling. Bought the smokin inferno in 15lbs cause ppl were telling me it was better. After 3 weeks of bowling with the inferno the ball died on me.( i will never buy a Brunswick ever again ) Works fine as my spare ball now. Dennis : What exactly do u mean by letting the ball roll of closer to my slide? Is it the distance between my sliding foot and my hand at release? Dont know how far off i am or what the ideal position is on that.Any tips on how to get the body to do that? grz joetje
