- Balancing act. Mark Gurule' and Paul Butcher begin a training series for specific bowling movements. Read their first installment on balance.

- The buddy system. Do you practice alone? Ron Clifton explains how using a "bowling buddy" can help you solve some of bowling's most common problems.

- Winning ingredients. Dr. Dean Hinitz offers the 10 essentials to winning, bringing into focus some familiar concepts.

- The swing slot. Feel like you have a great swing? Joe Slowinski shows how Elite players create this special swing...the "swing slot".

- Breaking down the shot. Considering the recent hubbub about teams committed to "Breaking down the shot" at USBC Nationals, Denny Torgerson explains why this action is really nothing new..

- By the numbers. Rob Mautner describes how to use the recently completed USBC Ball Motion Study to help you build your arsenal.

- Dry lane strategies modernized. Do you struggle on dry lanes? Rolf Gauger explains how in recent years the strategy for success on "toasty" conditions has changed.

IMO, the magazines are worth it for Slowinski's articles alone. The ball reviews are helpful as well, but every month I see what he has written and it directly applies to me. I had just been thinking that my swing plane feels off, and what does he write about this month? Swing plane. I have some good tips to work on next week.

I love that magazine and I keep every issue, often going back and rereading the articles. Most are quite informative.
