This has been a fairly long discussion, and still without resolution. I still haven't heard or read if you want a ball to carry long, or turn early. Will you drill it Label or Stacked. Do you play inside or outside. Do you crank, or stroke. There are too many other variables to consider. For instance, I know a few who had their
Cell drilled Label, and it just kills them. It turns way too early, and is uncontrollable. I know another who has a Sting drilled for a full
roller and gets a tremendous back end on the ball, which is uncommon for a full
roller.
Regardless of brand, I have a ball that is polished, drilled stacked, and it carries long and hits hard. I have another ball that is polished, drilled label, that plays the center oil well, has a controllable arc and hits hard. I have a ball that is drilled Label that rolls longer, and a pearlized ball that is drilled for length and a snap.
With these, I can play any spot on the lanes, and can cover any lane condition. 3 just happen to be from the same maker.
