One good thing to think of when being nice to it (someone said this here.. may have been Jim) is to think of not leaving any fingerprints on your finger holes at the release point.

That's good advice as well. Thanks for the input everyone! I think this is what my final lineup is going to be.

Cell
NVS
Gravity Shift
Horizon Solid
T-road Pearl
Street Rod Pearl
Tropical Storm
Groove Urethane

I'm gonna practice with this, but I might just use the groove as my spare ball for the tourny, since I throw it hard and straight anyway.

Results! After four days of bowling, I made the Canadian Youth Team! Unfortunately as the fifth spot and the alternate, losing my 4th spot in the last game with a 159 and big four in the tenth frame... None the less, on the team, which entitles me to all the sweet equipment benefits, tournament opportunities and uniform that I get to parade around in. Just thought I'd post it since I was askin' quite a few questions and askin' for advice going into the tournament. Results can be looked at here if anyone's curious http://www.canadinns.com/reservations/3_1_resintro.php?

My name is Brendan Rogers.

Congratulations Brendan, how did the lanes play, what balls did you use?

I am very excited for you that is a major accomplishment even being the alternate.

Thanks everyone! Sorta forgot I posted here again, ugh -_-; I mostly used my Cell for the long pattern, and my t-road pearl on the short pattern. I used my nvs and my horizon solid a little on the long and short as well, but mostly the other two. The lane conditions were very tough, the top bowler only averaged like a 203 or something. These alleys used Twister pins, and carry was just horrible... I've never seen so many 4-9's in my life. Instead of just tripping the 4-7 or something, it's just a solid 4-9. Really funny pin reactions.

And no, it wasn't... it was THIS link I was meaning to post
http://www.gotenpinbowling.ca/

Thanks again everyone! Can't wait to wear Canada colours to all my provincial tournaments :P

Satyuros, that's great seeing your name on the leader board, isn't it?

This link is much better. I kept making Hotel reservations on the other.
