BTW, I posted my games from last night at bowlSK. I'm listed as double.wood.dan, I think.
Saw that, Nice set on a Chameleon.

So not good then, huh? I'm gonna give the lanes a try this weekend, and Woodbridge as well. Any other houses down that way to be aware of? I think there's one near or on Ft. Belvoir, and one in Stafford, but those would be a bit of a haul for me, especially during the week after a long commute.

Nah, the problem with that is that I'll be on public transport most of the way. Plus I like to get home and put my feet up for a few minutes before heading out again. Alas.

I used to bowl 3 or 4 nights during the week and the tournaments on the weekend. Then I moved and took a while off and lost the motivation to get started again. What finally turned me around was cosmic bowling with some friends for lack of anything better to do and trying new techniques. I went from cranking it to stroking it. It basically gave me something new to perfect and made me a beginner again. While my average dropped drastically from what I was used to, I was building a skill I didn't have before and it gave me a reason to go practice again. Watching myself progress from week to week again like it was when I was a beginner really got me back into the game. And now I can compete whether the condition is favoring strokers or crankers.
I don't know what your skill sets are, but there has to be something you can try that would essentially take you back to square one and end up making you more versatile when it's all said and done.
