Granted it was not in competition and only on a single lane, but I had a best-ever 689 series in my practice session today, with a couple of splits and a single-pin miss in the last game preventing me from getting my first 700. This is special because it's a better series than I've had even when I was bowling on two good feet. I'll link my blog about it, of course. Let's hope this carries over into my league on Wednesday night.

Good shooting Richie! My best series ever was unofficial. 776 on 2 lanes. I'm sure you'll break that 700 barrier soon! If you can bowl a 689 you easily have the school to shoot a 700+. I just shot my first sanctioned 700 series. I was pretty pumped about that. Your day will come! I'm sure of it! Good luck with your league! I'm sure that you will do well!

Great job richie. i know how it feels to fall a little bit short of 700s, i've done it about 15 times, only a simple spare miss keeping me from getting to the 700 plateau. i actually was stuck at 699 for the better part of a year and a half, i needed a double in the tenth of the last game and went strike-nine-spare. Keep chugging though, you'll get to very 700 soon. It may even come to you at the most unexpected time (my only two 700 series came back to back in a tournament within hours of each other!)
