Roguh night as a team last night. As a team we had five 7-10 splits (I had one and two 4-9s) among many others. The other team was tripping out strikes like you wouldnt believe, hand them 127 pins pin game and well it doesn't take long to lose. We did salvage the last game so we took 2 of 7 points.
For me I rolled 222-196-234. That 196 game that 7-10 showed up on a decent picket hit in the 9th frame killing that otherwise clean game. I had 6 ten pins on the night and made them all. At the moment the average is at 213 at my local lanes which isnt as high scoring. The goal this year is to be over 220.

Wow, have to catch up.
Congrats to Sherman for first place in State Cap, all events.
Nice shooting Mark.
CG, the guy still uses an EPX? I loved that ball. I had 2, but both cracked. I was told the 15# didn't have the cracking problem of the 16#. Does he use 15#? I know one fellow who still has an EPX 16#. I know he has purchased 5-6 balls since. Maybe I could buy his old one. I will find out.
As for me, I'm just not consistently picking up spares. It's tough maintaining a 200 average with 2+ opens per game. But, that's where I am. Problem has been cross lane shots at the left side. There is a flood in the middle and I get no finish, missing right all the time. 10 pins are 50/50. I have to improve that.
We picked up a new bowler last night so we are at full strength again. Week 4 of Summer was a position night. So, our last place team bowled the No. 19 team, and we moved out of last, and took over 19, winning 7 of 9 points.
I pooped out again in the last game, opening 4 times. Rolled 198, 205, 197, 170. I should be doing better. Can't miss so many spares. It's costing me 20+ pins per game. Don't think I have a clean game yet in 4 weeks.

Had my best set since my return (counting my winter practices) last night, a 564, and, except for one "Brooklyn" strike, all of my strikes were on good quality shots. My team kind of needed me to step up, too, b/c our female member had a couple of 150s (about 20 pins under the average she established on the first night) in the first two games of her pre-bowl. Team took all 8 points, so I'm looking at my team to be somewhere close to the top when the standings are posted from the second week.

Thursday League. 2nd week of summer. I been bowling great the last month i been 600+ in all my series i have bowled. So trying to keep the streak going tonight.
Game 1: Started off the Turkey and then i make mental mistake and leave 6-10 and wiff it. Then doubled left 8-2 double wood and chop that left handed bucket and spared thant. So decided to soften speed to see if i can find my pocket again. X 7/X for 200
Game 2: Using softer speed i start off with X9/X then i chop the 5-8 and then go 8/ XX9/XXXX for 217. Just one missed spare getting better on spares.
Game 3: Made a speed adjustment and went faster with speed. Fell off balance and stuck and left the 1-2-4-7 and spared it. then comeback with 4 bagger. then go 9/9/XX8/7 for 233
(200-217-233 = 650 Not bad at all. In the groove lately making the right adjustment at the right time. Riding this streak as long as i can.
