I'm looking at the price of one and yeah it's a lot but it one of those priceless items to have as a bowler and/or Pro Shop operator.

My question is do you think it's smart to buy your own for your personal use and maybe some of your acqaintances?

It's better than risking your own oven and dishwasher.

If you use it alot it be worth it then going to Pro Shop and paying him $45 each time . Its like buying a spinner for you self if pays its self off if your going to use it a lot. THough im yet to know any one who ones rejunivnator except my local Pro Shop.

If you can get enough people to split up the costs and plan on using it often then maybe. You could also offer to extract oil for other bowlers for a small fee to at least get some of your money back . For doing it yourself at home you don't need to use the oven or dishwasher though. A bucket/tub of hot soapy water out of the tap works well too with less possible problems. I know several guys that will fill up the tub and let the balls soak over night, but I think dumping the water after a half hour or so and rinsing the ball off in fresh warm water several times and then letting them sit and dry works better.

One shop in our area has one. They charge $25 for one one ball and $40 for two (they can do the two at the same time). Anyway, I've looked into the cost and even as an owner of a shop they are $1600. So in order to pay for it, you'd need to do 40 to 64 ball before it starts making a profit.

If I had a big enough house I would have my own Pro Shop set up. Press, scale, Haus machine, rejuvinator, spinner the works. Right now I am just wondering how I am going to have room for this puppy of mine.

Some of us were talking over how to make one. I don't think it ever went anywhere. Maybe this will get that conversation started again.

It's not a good idea to leave your ball in soapy water too long as in overnight. I did that when I first started using that method of extracting oil from my bowling ball and soap got into the pores and wouldn't come out. 10-15 minute tops and then start rinsing.

My Pro Shop cannot even justify buying one. There is not enough call for it.

Ok, I got it.

Get one of those hot dog cooking things they have in convenience stores. Disconnect or weaken the heat from the rollers themselves. Throw some absorbent padding over the rollers.

Put a hair dryer in there on the high setting to move the air around. Maybe a space heater on low too, just to keep the air warm.

Send me 1600 and I'll make you one. As long as I can find one of those hot dog things for a hundred bucks.

dudes.. the rejuvi-vivor-nator ovens are just a heat lamp and thermostat inside of an insulated metal box with a motor geared way down to turn the ball. cant be that hard to build. in fact, the box is probably the most expensive part to aquire/fabricate.

shouldnt be that hard to build. if someone can tell me the temp that the oven is meant to reach i can probably whip up some specs pretty quick.
