Well, last night I had another so,so night. I can't seem to stay clean. I had an open in each game, and after the first game, I had a little trouble striking, I kept leaving 10 pins and 7 pins, which thankfully I made, but I only had one split which was refreshing for a change. I shot 233,196,and 190 for a 619. At least I was a little more consistant, but I need to do better. Back at it tonight

210, 197, 203 for me last night. Nothing spectacular, I had trouble finding the strike line though I did manage to put a few strings together. I got most of my spares save a couple splits. I also somehow managed, on a 3-6-10 leave, to only pick up the 6 and go between the 3 and 10. I have no idea how that happened, but one of the guys on the pair next to me said "now that's skill!" and one of my teammates said "nice trick shot!" It was a good laugh.

It's been brutal at work. Sorry I've been away. I'll get caught up eventually.
MKirchie - nice going on the 700 series.
Melissa - caffeine you can control, but your kids' pink eye you can't. Good luck and keep us posted.
Timotheus - I've seen that happen too. I've also seen a guy going for the 3-10 and actually getting the ball in between them and not hitting either pin. I didn't think it was possible until I saw that.
After a December nosedive I've been getting a little better and staying above average - at least on Wednesday nights. I've been struggling on Fridays, but that's another story. My Wednesday night team got up to 2nd place 2 weeks ago, but we got swept by the first place team last week and started last night in 4th place.
Game 1: 202 Game 2: 168 Game 3: 191 -------------- Series: 561
Last night wasn't bad. First game went smoothly, but I had some funky leaves in the second game. One bright spot of that second game was converting a nasty washout of 1-2-8-10, after which I turned to face the cheering and said "For my next trick, I'll need a volunteer". My luck was short-lived, as I later left the 9 pin on a 1-2-8-9, which I thought would be easier. Switching to the Monster Frenzy for a straighter shot in the last game would have netted me another deuce had I not left a 4-6 split in the 9th frame.
I've tried to force myself to play more inside whenever possible. I also did some open bowling over the weekend with Christen, which really forced me to play further left than I'm used to. I've been improving, but as much as I love my Radical Inferno I still refuse to show up at the lanes without my Monster Frenzy.

No problem.
All in all I am not doing too bad. Just trying to get used to the reduction in caffiene. I am a caffiene junkie but I am doing pretty good with it (I think). Trying to keep stress to a minimum also - don't know how long it will last though. Was told last week to try and keep stress to a minimum and then both of my kids got pink eye. Great way to stay stress free LOL!!!! The kids handled it way better than I did. Not that pink eye is a real big deal, just the point of it I guess :-)
Can't wait to go bowling tomorrow night.
You doing good?
Well I hope things are going well with the pink eye. That's always a fun one to deal with... As far as the caffeine troubles I feel your pain there. I'm a Pepsi fiend it's in my blood, I don't think I could ever stop drinking it. For health reasons or not lol. You might see if you can find the caffeine free Pepsi though. It tastes just the same to me, just wish they sold it in bottles instead of cans only...
I'm doing pretty good myself, got my Battle wet sanded last night with 1000grit. Was hoping to see it maybe bring some life back into it. Bowled a couple of games to see how it would do. Played on a few different lines and I feel it was more me than my ball. I wasn't slowing it down enough in that middle oil. Shot a 171 231 179, not a bad set, and fairly consistent on speed. Missed a couple of 10 pins which I've actually been doing great with them lately. I see my coach today so hopefully I'll get back into some breakpoint targeting. Granted my approach and release are still up to par!

I hope so Eraser - I don't want my average to go down again so I am already getting hyped to throw 3 great games. Only about 4 hours until I leave, can't wait. I am really going to hate seeing the season end - may have to talk to the alleys and see what types of summer leagues there are so I don't go crazy over the summer.
Richard - so far I am doing okay with the caffiene. Except now I think my body is trying to say it wants it and is craving chocolate (caffiene). This too shall pass.
The kids are doing very well, Thanks - Lyndsay went back to pre-school yesterday and you couldn't even tell that she had had pink eye (I did notify the school though since it is the right thing to do). I think we caught Tyler's in time that it didn't become as severe as Lyndsay's, so that's good.
Ample - I love Pepsi too. I like caffiene free - it does taste alright. Just have to remember to buy it, I am so used to getting caffienated that I forget. Oh well, someday I guess.
Way to go on your games. That is pretty awesome for playing around with your lines.

I sub on Thurs and the good games keep coming. 246-255-210 for a 711 series. The last game 10 pins showed up, I made a ball change and left a wash out. Went back to my Surefire and did what I had to for a respectable finish and series. For as lost as I felt I'm just making good decisions for the most part and getting a lot of finish on the ball. I did a quick guesstimate and over the last few weeks I'm over a 235 pace.
My new thing is going early before league starts and getting just 2 games in on ONE lane. I never practice this way but when league starts any ailments that are nagging seem to loosen up and I'm ready to go. I'm VERY superstitious so when I find something that works I stick with it. I'm not changing anything but my expectations.
