I got my No Mercy Beat'n drilled up. Basically used the #1 layout but kicked the HART farther to the left. This ended moving the PIN right and putting the PIN at 2 7/8 from my PAP. I don't know if I like that. What is this ball going to do and be good for.
My PAP is 5 1/2 and 5/8 up.

The drill angle of the actual mass bias is around 33 degrees.

I want a ball to use in heavy oil

That ball should work great for heavy oil, post a review of it when you can.

You don't think the 2 7/8 Pin to PAP is too short? I wanted it to be 3 1/2 or 4 inches. I doubt I will be able to use it on anything other than really heavy oil Won't it roll out too soon.

The shorter pin to pap distance in a ball with a high mass bias differential like the beating will actually have a sharper move off of the break point than a symmetrical ball with the same pin to pap distance, at least according to Mo Pinel's drill sheets.

Post back when you try it and let me know how you like it.

I wanted to try it out so I took it to my local house that puts virtually no oil on the lanes... well except for outside the 6 board which is flooded.. don't ask.. that is the normal shot... they have no idea what they are doing.
I know they weren't the ideal conditions for that ball but the ball worked pretty well. The first few shots the ball didn't move at all .. but once I got some oil on the ball it seemed to work well. If I put heavy roll on it, it would go down the lane and make a somewhat smooth transition to the pocket.. If i turned it and put more side rotation it went down then snapped hard.. I tried out my Hammer Anger that is drilled 4" pin to pap with axis leverage. I hit 17 and got it out to 7 deep down the lane with speed and it came back hard. If I slowed it down and hit the outside flooded area it would still get out of it and make its move. I was throwing pretty fast to overcome the dry conditions. I can't wait to try it out on some real oil. I think they might do what I want them to do. Coach Jim .. I left you a private message..

Bowling with a ball on lane conditions that aren't suited for the ball will not tell you much, post again after trying them on the line I described in the reply i sent.
