Nice Shooting.

Last night was the first week of the Shark. I was rolling my Cell up 5 staying behind the ball. I shot 191, 196, 176. Last game, I missed consecutive 6 pins in the 8th and 9th frames. Completely killed my game. As a team, we won 5 of 7 points. We were in 8th of 10 teams but we were only 4 points out of 3rd at the start of the night. Next week is the last week. I am looking forward to that league being over. I am glad that league is about done. My summer is just too hectic as it is. Don't know if I am going to bowl again next summer. We'll see.

If you think your summers are hectic now, wait til your boys get into little league over the summer. Hopefully, they will be on the same team. Mine were on different teams, on different nights, and sometimes at different parks.

Dennis: I'm lucky in the fact they since they are the same age, they will be in the same leagues. I am hoping that they are on the same team. That is one thing that I will request from the park district when it gets to that point.

Nice shooting.

haha just a bit in that game, but relieved some pressure since I threw the non strike on that frame which lead to a good run the following game. I was pretty jazzed about the the 299, though not a 3, it was awesome pulling a ball outa the bag that didn't work for me and tune it a lil and have at it.

We were tied for 1st place at the start of last night so I think we'll be on top next week since we took all points. Posistions next week too.

Last week 478 this week 707, what a difference a week makes. I missed another chance at 300 when a 7 pin stood in the 6th frame otherwise all strikes for 279-225-203. As a team we took 3 of 4 point and are in the middle-lower of the league. The 707 pushed me back up to 211 where after tonight I'm tied for league high average to be decided next week which is the final week. Should be interesting!!!

Nice shooting, jsigone and Silent Mike! smile

http://tenthboard.net/2008/08/13/the-penultimate-night/

Bowling in the tournament Sunday might've taken something out of me, as I could only manage a 183-194-181=558 set tonight, but I really don't have an excuse: I had a clean game in the 230s during my warm-up session. The thing I'll take out of tonight is that I made my single 10s more often than not, so I think I'm getting more consistent picking them up.

Position round is next week...the usual Friday standings update post will let you know who my team's opponents are.

I learned from when bowling youth tournys to never practice on the lanes before the tourny. But then again I wasn't as good at reading new lanes as I think I am now. Save everything for the tourny unless it takes you more then 5balls to warm up.

SilentMike, do your league pay out extra for High Average or do you get the pin? Congrats on that series and bring back up your Ave, makes up for most of what you lost from last week. I always love those last week show downs!!

This was a shoulda, woulda, coulda night. Our team made a gallant move from 20th to 3rd last week. Only to have our bubble burst by losing all games. We were in 5th tonight. We won 7 of 9 points, losing the final game by 10. And, don't remind me that I opened the final two frames of that game, please. I feel bad enough as it is.

But, I think I helped the team with 215, 234, and 238 for the first 3 games that we won. Then, the ceiling caved in and I finished with a 159 for 846 series.

This night should have been so much different. 8 opens on the night, and 4 in the final game alone. Even in the 234 game, I opened in the first and tenth. That game could have been bigger.

I am rolling the ball so well, and I attribute this to the PBA bowling. But, what happened in the final game? I really don't know.

dude that's an awesome site, gonna have to use it.

I think you last game died when you changed balls. You're soo deep into the series then swapping the the last 4 frames is asking for trouble. You end up searching for the pocket rather then dialing in problems you had with the 1st ball.

Here's what I do if the lane changes that bad during a game. You obviouslly burned a nice hole out there with the Terminator so speeding up won't do much cuz it won't likely push through that berakpoint you made using the same lines. Move 2 bds in, same ball speed as before. What you are trying to achieve a getting a different entry angle using that same breakpoint rather then searching for a new one. If it still goes a lil high, move one more bd in. It's best to hit a lil light and leave something you can pick up like a bucket or 7, rather then smash the face and risk the splits. It's a good way to play it safe if the lanes die out.

Good shooting the first 3 game despite the opens at the beginning and ends. 5th is still alot better then 20th, [censored] alot of teams in the pack musta got swept last week!!!

I plugged my game in from last night into that site, pretty cool though near end of the season. Would be nice to Track for the upcoming season.
