I think there may be a minor dilema. But, with the new Pres relying heavily on me, I don't see where there will be a problem. The officers will handle this before the first meeting of next year. It is on MY agenda.

My late season resurgance is continuing. I had my 2nd highest season this league with a 551 (180, 199, 172). So the last 2 weeks I have been averaging in the 180's, 20 pins above my average. If not for 3 horrid splits and a couple 10-pin misses I would have been closing in on a 600 series.
As for the team we went 2-2 mainly because all my teammates bowled every game under their averages. I had to turkey out in the last frame of the last game to win overall by 3 pins.
Hope this continues next week and for sweeps.

OUCH! Not a good night for bowling at all. My mind was not in at all. It was just a totally off week for me after a good month of bowling last two weeks i've been slumping in my Execution and choosing my the correct line.
146-188-158=492 bad series for me. Gotta really work on my consitency and get back to more where i was three weeks ago. I think i tried to change too much in league while i should of work it on practice than in league.
Team wise bad. lost 21 pts in the last three weeks and from 1st to 8th place there only 5 pins difference and were in second just 1 pt behind first place. So not sure where we droped too.

Thank Dennis. I am hopeful this is the beginning of a step forward in my improvement. I have been concentrating more on getting the ball out on my mark and following all the way through on my swing and it has done wonders.
Hang in there Brandon. I know all about trying to change things on league night and you are right it is not a good time to do it. Things will turn around.

Scott, bad part is my team needs also bowls bad. We been in some loosing streak last 3 weeks 21 pts lost. we were in first by 5 pts at start of 3 weeks ago. I dont how we still in second before last night. So 1-8 as i said before just 5 pts seperates us so i see where we end up. Bad time to start loosing games.

Did not bowl bad at all last night....I did'nt bowl. My season has been over for two weeks now and I'm having withdrawels. My PBA league starts in two weeks ( NOT SOON ENOUGH ). I have a couple of small tourneys next week to wet my appetite, but I really miss the league atmosphere. Okay,..I'll admit it...I am a bowling junkie and I need a fix..LOL. I do plan on buying a ball with some of my prize money,..that should help a little too.

I was wondering where you have been Eraser. I know you are one of the Thursday night leaguers. I have position next week on May 8, Sweeps on May 17, then 2 weeks off before summer league starts on June 5th.

Tonight was the last night of Friday night mixed. I thought we had one more week but I was mistaken. We took it on the chin as we lost all 4 points and finished at 4th I believe. I did finish the year on a positive note as I rolled 203-241-264 for a 708 series which is my 10th 700 series on the season. I finsihed with a 218.51 average keeping in mind it's an easier house.
All in all my year in review I had 3 real good series of 768, 753 and 781 series out of the 10 700 series I rolled. No honor scores but I did flirt with them more than a few nights. We took 2nd on Tuesday and 4th tonight. More importantly I found what I was missing most of the year and I'm heading into the Summer season with a full head of steam and my confidence is up. The 218.51 is my highest Winter season average ever and I think next year I can top that if I'm healthy and I avoid long slumps like I had this year. I'm glad this season is over, 36 weeks is a long time.
Edit: had a few celebratory beverages tonight so dont mind the typos I didnt fix.

Yesterday was position round for the third segment in my league, and we started out in 2nd place, 3.5 points behind the best team in the league. It would have been very exciting, except we won the first segment and they won the second segment, and our league rules are set up so that there wasn't any money or competitive advantage at stake, only points.
Still, it was good practice for next week's playoff round, since we were on the most difficult and inconsistent lanes the league uses: on the left side, close to the front door. I wound up switching balls four times.
Our team went 4-0 to win our second segment, and I finished with 215-210-200 625, second-best (behind my team's anchor)--I had 5th-best average in the group. Their 220-average bowler bowled across from me and finished under 600, so I feel good about prevailing under tough conditions.
Anyway, next week is the big week. This is my first year in the league, so I have no idea how it will work, but my guess is that the six playoff teams will all be crowded into the left-most lanes again, so the teams with higher handicaps should have a relative advantage.
