I'm really apprehensive about tomorrow nights league. I had a coaching session this week and my coach changed everything. I bowled one great game right after the lesson last night, but I went to the alley to practice this morning and sucked so bad its not even funny. I bowled 124, 89, 125, 144 - horrible!

But tonight is $1 game night at the lanes where my league on Friday is, so I plan to get at least another 7-8 games of practice in before Friday's match.

My team is going to kill me if I bowl like that this weekend, because we're bowling a team with some of the better bowlers on it. Thankfully its handicapped and my other team mates are bowling well so maybe I won't blow it for the team.

Well, finally weekend leagues start back up again for me. We had a week off for Thanksgiving and it seems like I haven't bowled on Friday night for months! Heh. At least I've had Monday league, although I'd rather not talk about that one wink

This week should be VERY interesting. We're bowling the #1 team. They're also the team with the highest averages. Last time we played them, we won all 4 points and things got pretty heated after the match. We were accused of sandbagging and cheering against them during the match. Actually my teammate was cheering for another teammate to get a clean game, he said something like "no opens!", the other team member thought he was cheering for him to get an open! Anyways, things turned into a shouting match and puffed out chests. Luckily cooler heads prevailed but we'll just have to see how it goes tonight.

Hopefully the intimidation factor doesn't negatively affect any of our games. I tend to bowl better in such situations but I'll just have to see with my teammates smile

I think we'll have an interesting week too. Allthough our team is in first place, we are this week bowling the team with the highest averages. Last time we bowled them I think we only won .5 or something. We need to win, because we are only up by 8 games, not as many as I had thought.

I practiced about 10 games last night to get ready, and my scores ranged from 89 the first game to a 213 near the end. The last 5 games I played last night were all above my league average, so I'm confident that my coaching session I went to this week is not going to hose my scores.

I've got a game plan for taking this team with the higher averages though. We're going to start strong, and get them trying to keep up with us, Since we have the handicap advantage we only need them to open 2-3 times apiece per game and we should win. We're going to keep our mouths shut and close frames wether we strike or not. Once we hear the other team complaining about our handicap, we'll know we've got them right where we want them. I think as long as we are near our averages, we'll put them in a position where they've got to bowl really outstanding to win, and I know if my team can put together a turkey or fourbagger it will be all over because a couple of people on that team I know we can depend on to get frustrated and start bitching about our handicap instead of making their shots.

Friday here again fellas. Just got back into town (in NC all week for business) no practice games this week at all. We are starting the 2nd time around tonight and bowl a middle of the pack team. After our bad showing last week we need to take all 7 tonight. Feeling good today so I hope that translates to some clean games. Good luck fellas and I look forward to seeing how everybody did.

How'd you guys do ? I was unimpressive, but my team won 3 games and only lost the other one by a couple of pins.

my team and myself both had a good night. We started the night tied for 2 place, 3 points (1.5 games) behind the co-leaders. I bowled my career high game and series tonight. Everything felt good and I was able to move correctly with the line as needed. We have a guy on our team that used to tour professionally. he carries a 238 average and is just smooth as anything, however tonight he struggled a little bit. His shots were looking good but some bad luck with splits. I was able to step up and carry us for a couple of games and it felt great. I bowled a 266,192,235 for a 693 series. I started the night with a 158 average. Man I was on a high all night!.
