Well tonight one game didn't go as good as I hoped, but I finally got my deuce in league and we won all four games to stay in first place. My average will go up to 151 next week, slowly but surely I will get it up there. The second game I was nearly all 9s on the first ball and missed several spare attempts, but I switched balls and moved up a bit and got it together at the end. My third game was pretty good too. I bowled ( 178, 144, 201 ).

League didn't go as planned for me either. My fault as my mental game wasn't up to par. i was rushing, missing marks, and just not in it. i was very dissappointed afterwards. 157 avg and bowled 170, 145, 170. Lets hope I can pick myself up tonight.

Other than that middle game, I can't really complain.
In the first game I opened with a turkey, and before I got up to throw the fourth ball a lady on the other team told me "If you bowl another strike, I'm going to break your legs"! Can you believe that ? What a ****. Well I guess that made me want to bowl a strike too bad because I got a nine, but I did pick up the spare. Darn it, I really wanted to make that strike too. But the next ball was a strike, and there were many more strikes and doubles in store throughout the night. Thanks to her comment, each strike was extra enjoyable.

When someone makes a comment like that, let it go in one ear and out the other. Don't even give the person a reply. They do not deserve the courtesy of a reply. just keep on striking and stay away from comments. They are just trying to get you upset so that you cannot strike. This happens when people are bad sports and are just interested in trying to win at any costs.
When someone is striking a good sport enjoys seeing someone even if the person is on the other team get strike after strike.
Keep on Striking and always excercise good sportsmanship.

Sorry to hear that the leagues didn't go as well as hoped for, guys. My week hasn't been all that special either, bowled well in the league on tuesday and had the local Regional Tournament this weekend. Started well and faded into obscurity by the end of it. A combination of tough lanes and lack of concentration did me in.. averaged 156 for the weekend (12 games, three in teams, av 176, three in doubles, av 151 and six in singles, average truly horrible for an overall 156. I shouldn't be disappointed.. my league av is 152, but I felt that I didn't do myself justice, especially when I bowled three 200+ games. Low was 104, high 209. The rest were anywhere in between! Not to worry, league again on Tuesday.. looking forward to that and trying to get my confidence back up with a good series. Good luck and good bowling to all of you. Look forward to your next posts.

Saturday went a little better. Carrying a 158 avg in this house and bowled a 173,170,181. Could have been better as lanes were a bit oily and I missed a couple easy 1nad 2 pin spare attempts. Really need to start concentrating on my mental game and stop making stupid mistakes. happy with the night overall though and had a good time.

Well Friday ended up pretty well for me. Like I've said I only have a high 150's average (158 right now I think) in that league. Bowled a 194, 172, and a 194 for a 560 series. I really thought I should have gotten a lot closer to my first 600. My strike ball was on and every move I made seemed to be the right one. My spares, however, were way off. In the last game I missed four 1 pin spares, and they were pins I normally never miss! The thing I changed though before league was I decided to scoot in a half step closer to the line and slow down my approach. This worked wonders for my strikes as I was getting much better consistency and rotation, but my spares I just couldn't find it.
Other good news, my teammate with a 152 average bowled a 258! My high game in league is a 227 and my highest game ever is a 257 so he blew me out of the water. I'm very happy for him and maybe someday I can get a "century" watch award myself
At the end of the night we won 3 out of 4 points (lost the first game by 5 pins). I'm going into tonights league (monday night) confident and if I can start getting those spares again, maybe a 600.

Friday night again folks. I'm not all that excited though, we are playing ourselves instead of playing another team and that won't be as much fun, but we are in first place and should be able to add another four wins tonite pretty easily.
I hope I keep my average moving up, I shot a great set earlier this week, and not quite as good the next day, but last time out I bowled ( 165, 159, 159, 145, 159 ) which is not nearly as good as I know I can do.
