Hey Brandon that is great!!! I have been exactly where you were. I noticed in tracking the last 2 years I seem to hit a slump towards the beginning of December. Wonder if it is something to do with winter????

I am still looking for that 1st 600 series since my comeback but hopefully with a new ball and sorting out my focus problems I will get there soon.

Scott, it's Winter Depression. Being locked up in your home. Freezing temperatures. Snow closes you in. White out conditions. Blowing winds. Roads are impassible. Stores running out of food. Can't get out anyhow.

Oh, you're in California? Nevermind.

Melissa - Thanks. It sure felt great. I rather have nights of 600+ any day over nights of sub 500. Your be back to your 500 series in no time!

Scott - Thanks. Yeah for me i dont why but i usually do much better the second half of the season then the first. I too looked back at my scores and i seem to bowl good in the second half of the season.

Dennis,

In California we consider a few drops of rain and temperatures under 40 the dead of winter!!!!

I'm normally the opposite as far as seasons go, I turn it up around December, and can keep it going through the summer but then at the end of summer and fall/winter leagues start up and I start having some problems. Of course I'm a little behind this year as I am having issues in January still. Of course around here it could be 80 degrees and sunny one day and a week later snowy and 25 degrees.

So After Thursday Night 629 series. I felt good and went down friday night watch friends Scratch League - it so happened they needed a sub. I usually turn it down the offer since i havent been bowling so great. But this time i said yes since i have some confidence in my game again.

So first game didnt start off so good first ball i gutter like oh no, but i totally missed my mark - ended up making a slight adjustment move two boards to right and spared it. Only had one open in this game wiffed the 7 pin ended up with a 190. Game two i found my sweet spot and didnt open at all for a solid 234 game. Game Three I missed 1 ten pin an left 7-10 spilt for a 201.

Overall i had a 190-234-201=625 So im riding this wave of confidence and feel great how im bowling now. I feel great out there.

Team Wise i was replacing a 190 average bowler. So bowled average a 208. We lost first game by 4 pins. Won the second and Third game by 10. It was a close match.

Nice bowling there Brandon. Stepping into a situation like that sometimes makes one rise up, of course it could have also intimidated you with the pressure of it being scratch and you could have bombed. Sounds like you are starting to turn things around, keep it up.

Keep the good scores going Brandon, confidence is a good part of the this game once you have your fundamentals down pat.

Last night I kept the good scoring pace going except it didn't help the team in close losses. I rolled 220-222-237 for a 679 series. THe first game we on by ONE pin lol The 2nd game we lost by 14 pins. The last game we lost by 8 pins. I crushed my 2nd attempt in the 10th frame and left a solid 9. Best shot off my hand all night and it was part of the difference in the game. That's how it goes some nights.
