Yes, you get one for a 700 series, I got one for my first, but it broke when my bag flipped over once. I thought I lost it but it was found just outside of my backyard where I park. I have it, my 600 pin, my High Game Pin and several patches on my bowling bag, as well as the 100 pins over average for a game watch.

Now for league tonight. I started off in practice just throughing horribly. Couldn't throw the ball consistently nor find a strike line. Had a slow start to the first game, but stayed clean for a 212 game, including converting the 2-4-8-10 split. The second game I rolled a 193 game with one open, a 4 pin that I missed to left of by pulling it, and then throwing a gutter ball on my fill ball in the tenth because I tried to move in a little deeper with the amount my ball, the Purple Ogre was starting to hook. I angled it too much. I threw it for the first few frames of the last game, and after a regular strike, a brooklyn strike and a 3-4-6-7 split where I went through the head pin I decided to change. I went in the middle on the spare attempt six minutes later when I finally got to try for it. The rack didn't pick up the 4 pin so I had to call it in to reset it. When they reset it, they didn't put the 7 pin down, so I had to call it in again. I was just frustrated. I switched to my Radical Inferno and threw a strike the next frame. I then left the 2-4-8, and the 4 again was not picked up by the machine. Frustration again and pulled the shoot and missed them all. I then ran off 4 strikes in a row then proceed to go through the headpin and leave the 3-4-6-7-10 split. Just threw the ball bad. I then only picked up the 3-6 for a 181. It was strikes or opens that game. I had 4 opens on the night, two splits, one a single pin and the other just a bad shot. I bowled a 586 on the night, which means I probably only kept average. As a team we lost 3 of 4 points. When a guy on the other team has a 170 something average and bowls well into the 600s for a set its hard to win. This is the guy that some of us think is a sandbagger, that we heard he averaged well over 200 in the same house several years ago, and he seems to know alot about bowling, and the machinery in the back. It could be just a long absence from bowling and getting back into it. This league isn't really for the competitive so I don't see the reason to sandbag in it. We just lost total by 10 pins, we lost the first game by 17, the second by 28, which could have be less and won the last by 35. My scores were good enough to win the bracket, even with me giving pins to everyone I bowled. They just bowled bad enough. I was 100% on ten pins during league, and missed only one in the pot games we bowled after league, which was scotch doubles. I also barely missed picking up the Big Four split my partner left for me. I got the 6 to shoot over and get the seven and had the 4 pin wiggling a little. It was fun. I just wish I could get my game together on Tuesday nights.

Sunday Night is over....Thank Goodness!!! Not a terrible night for me, our team lost them all though and now we're in a tie for 2nd and bowl the first place team in position round next week.

First game I mark the first two frames, then three opens in a row. Finish up badly with a 148. Second game I find a line in the 6th frame. X X 81 X XXX (the 81 was a pocket 7/10 split) to shoot 189. Last game I keep the line and shoot 215. 552 series.

Good news- 200/550 and I was able to find a line when the lanes were not hooking alot.

Bad News- I'm thinking too much!!!!! Ball speed, approach, hand angles, bla bla bla and so on.

I need to just bowl with what works and I know what works I just over analysis everything. I need to stay behind the ball and hit my mark and not try so many different things.

I'm picking up my spare ball in the morning and I'm going to go practice and work on this and my corner pins. Have a good night and i'll update you after Tuesday Night.

Travis

Not a bad week this week, but troubles with my spare game. Which I'm sure kept me from my 600 series...

1st game - 189 Good carry in the pocket, missed a couple of costly spares. Had a 5 bagger going into the 7th frame totally blew it...

2nd game - 193 Good carry started off the game with a 4 bagger, looked at the gutter in the 5th and that's where my ball went after riding the one board for 30+ feet... Didn't recover from that mistake until the 8th frame.

3rd game - 158 Lanes went kaput and I failed to make the right adjustment. Left about 5 splits, 1-2-10's a nice 6-7 split and at least one 6-7-10. Was a little more on with my spare game, but I couldn't carry but two strikes in that game.

Overall 540 series for a 180 average. That should push my overall average on the league up to a 160! For the most part I am happy with how I've bowled over the last few weeks. Though I really need to buckle down and pickup those spares! Thinking too much instead of going out there and doing it...

Well another week of bowling on Tuesday over. I decided to use an oldie but goodie, the Absolute Inferno. I bowled a 191 first game, either strike or open through the first 8 frames and then I convert the 3-6-7-10 split in the ninth for my first spare, and strike in the tenth. I had three opens that game. I chopped the 2 off of the 2-8, left the ten on the 1-2-8-10 and lined up completely wrong on the 4-7 and missed everything left. The second game was a 183 that I think I only opened one frame, the 3-4-6-7-9-10, which I only took out the 3-6-9. Didn't have the greatest of carry, but wasn't throwing the ball consistently well. My last game I switched to my Groove after about 3 frames of bad shots and over reactions. After one ball of not getting in the pocket, I knew what adjustment to make, and got in the pocket, but once left the 4-9 by being slightly inside of my mark and completely missed it. I had a chance of bowling in the 190s but went high leaving the 3-6-10 and misjudged the reaction the Groove would have and left the 3 pin. I then spared and got a 5 count on the fill shot for a 162, bringing my total to a 536, probably my best in this house in the past month and half or better. I was 100% on ten pins, and probably single pin spares as well, even though there weren't many of those that weren't 10 pins. We took 3 of 7 points.

FINALLY! I broke 600, with 7 weeks just under 600 I felt like I forgot how to bowl. I had a nice 10 game set of practice Saturday and it paid off. This isn't to say I had a great night just better.

I rolled 650 (211-259-180) and won only 1 point in the last game. The guy I bowled against is a friend of mine and he shot 214 to my 211, 289 to my 259 and then we both opened in the 10th of the game and I stole one by 3 pins. Now here's the good part, with a few stupid mistakes thrown in I broke my string of consecutive sub 600 series. With a simple hang change I'm no longer coming around the ball or pointing it. I'm back to my old self....or close. This was one of my worst slumps yet, I have a feeling it's ended. THe confidence is up, the ball reaction is back and me giving up easy points shouldnt happen as much. For once I get to sleep half way decent on a Tuesday night.

I'm stuck in a rut. Every game has 2 opens. And, they are all different. If the strikes are not there, you have to get your spares. Although, I did get 8 of 9 strikes in the tenth frames tonight to salvage what could have been worse. 602 for the night.

Our team chemistry is not the best. All of us are under where we should be, and no one is having the big game to pull us out of the dumpster. We are always bowling against someone who has a game 40-50 pins over average, and none of us can match that. We lost 5 of 7 again, and are falling fast.

In the first two games, our opponents had a low game of 214. Our highest was 212. And we gave them 60 pins in handicap. Ouch, can't win that way.

Didn't feel as good as it looks. I got my infinite one and total inferno back from the shop. All 5 of my balls are drilled the same now, so I should have no fit issues... right. Wanted to start with the total because I thought I would like the reaction better there. It doesn't fit like the others smirk Gonna take it back and have him remeasure every spec. Would weight holes and such make it feel that much different from my other balls? Will probably try more forward pitch too. Anyway, nothing seems to match up to those lanes like the big one, so that's what I'm gonna be using on games 1-3 from here out.

Anyway, we took all 7. I think the last 4 weeks we've only lost 1 game, maybe 2. Climbing the ladder! My 186 avg teammate had a 650, and my 179 avg self had a 618, which helped out a lot. Our leadoff hitter is probably around a 140 avg, and she had a couple near 200 games as well. Checking the updated standings, looks like we went from 5th to 3rd.
