Well the kiddo and I finished up our league yesterday. We took first place, though I didn't bowl very well. Shot a 193 and a 165, but there were just too many errors. I missed a lot of 10 pins...

Got skunked yesterday with the opposing team taking all points for the evening. As the saying goes though, we can learn more from losses than wins. I'll be practicing mid-week and looking forward to redeeming myself, along with my teammates, in this week's positioning round. As we sit now, we're in third place, close to first.

Side note, I'm getting my first spare ball this week as well. Should certainly help me pick up those nasty ten pins.

tonight was fun, the lanes were WAY flooded, anything left of the 6bd would float and go straight. So had to play a very narrow line on the 4-5bd, standind right ft on the 20. During practice The ball seemed to float more then I'd like. I handed sanded the Dimension to 1000, finished sanding about 10 seconds before practice ended. Worked well and what I was expecting from the ball standing same spot with same break point. Near the end of the second game, the lanes started to break down and ended up moving to the 23 and throwing a bit slower to the same break point. If I pushed it I'd get [censored] carry leaving solid 9pin and 10pin.

I was chasing the mark all night 238, 226 & 208 for 672 series. Overall a good night though I felt like I was fighting the begining of the last game. Took 5 points, lost the 2nd game by a single pin (I'm anchor) and left a 10 pin on deck for the final shot. My 1st bowler was 53 pins under average and another was 20 something below. So I can blame them haha

Wrapped up PBAX last night with a solid 646 series. 243-195-208 on the Tournament of Champions Pattern. I was over 100 pins higher than anybody else in the league for series and I won 2 of 3 pot games. I also made a huge push towards the end of the season and finished a repectable 5th. Pocketed a nice $40.00 for league and another $20 for pot games.

All in all I am satisfied with how I finished the season on this pattern. I was most improved over the 2nd part of the season and also high average for the second half as well. Thanks to the people on here that helped me adjust my game to meet the PBAX demands.

Good finish, DD. Your post seems more re-assuring than earlier in the season.

tonight's mission was to make use of the Track Kinetic I got last month. Been using the Storm Dimension and it's been great. The Kinetic was strong skid and flip OOB at 2000 polished with the 5" from PAP. Flat out I couldn't control it. Stood right ft on 25 throw to the corner and it would flip hard or skid farther. Sanded it down to 4000grit abralon. Went a bit farther but still uncontrolable. Poshished the darn thing now went too far and never came back. Been sitting in my bag un-used for weeks now.

Today I had to make a change, thinking since this ball is strong at the trasition, I decided to make it my med oil into a heavier oil ball. Had the Pro Shop sand it from polished to 600 grit. During league warm ups I threw the dimension on normal marks to read the lanes. THS with a bit cleaner/snapper backend and the Dim came in high Moved left a board same thing HUMM. Threw the dulled Kinetic at the same marks as the Dim and flush WOW. I sorta got lined up by the time the league started. 1st game was OK, I opened the 10th frame for a 189 bummer and had like 6-7 strikes in that game but some easy opens I missed by less then an inch.

This ball was cracking the hell outa the pocket, standing right foot on 30 throwing to the 7 and hits with tons of power with great pin action when a lil high.

2nd game threw a double to start, then bucket spare in the 3rd. Stuck out til the the last ball and rung the 10pin for a 275. NICE come back!!

3rd game it was ON FIRE, threw the last ball a hair slow and went a lil high for a solid 4 pin OUCH!!

763 series [censored] 1st game cost me an 800 HAHA
Still very happy considering I've never played the entire night with this ball.

Toot, toot. Toot your horn. That's super. A ringing ten on a pulled shot. Nervous were you?

Nice shooting.

Ugh stupid site didn't make my post.

Last PBAX night was tonight, bowled on Cheatah. Went in with a 183 average and found out I snuck my way into 3rd place from my good amount of wins in the last few weeks. I was expecting to go into step ladder top 5 like I was told, but being a youth bowler I guess I couldn't compete with the adults who were playing for money in this case. So I had to bowl against my friend, the only other youth bowler in the league. The person who averaged highest after for games, including our current average(he had 181) won a spare ball. I shot 186, 243, 256, and 183 for 868 and an average of 217 on the night. I don't know what my friend shot exactly but I know he didn't make average and I bumped mine up to 185 for the league, so I won. I also got $75 credited to the Pro Shop, I think part of that is from the accumulated money I paid over lineage every week. I'm going to see if I'm able to let the shop keep the spare ball and use whatever that's worth plus my credit towards a new reactive ball instead.
