Had a rough night in my Tuesday night trios league, where I averaged 174 through 4 games. My cousin shot 698 through 3, and he gets 50+ pins and has never had a 700 so I felt bad about that. But we took 3 games and total so that's the good part.
Was asked to sub again in the 64-lane league tonight, and I shot really well, going 208-247-191 for a 646 series. Helped boost them into the 32-team playoffs.
My BW Pearl was working hard tonight.

It's over, we were third. I had to tell our newest bowler who joined our team this year that he should find another team next year. He asked about next year just before we started bowling, and I told him then. It was tough bowling with him on the team tonight. I think he was hurt. But, life goes on.

I know how that can be Dennis. We told our bowler last year a good three weeks before the season ended. It was kind of an uncomfortable situation.
We need to find another teammate this summer because our fourth players does not want to bowl in the summer. The core of the three of us is really steady but we are having a problem finding a permanaent 4th team member.

When I joined my team on Monday night a few years ago, we had a PBA Sr bowler on our team. He was left handed and averaged around 220 even though he was pushing 70 years old.
Everyone in the league hated him because he would get huffy if they got a lucky strike, he would make snide comments at every brooklyn strike. That was bad enough, but then he started doing it to me and the other guys on the team, it didn't bother me because I enjoyed beating him, but the rest of the team was getting so mad that they couldn't focus and would stand back away from him.
One night I could do no wrong and shot an 815 series and he didn't even congratulate me. Again it didn't bother me, as he had not beat me in a long time and I was enjoying the fact that I didn't have to go looking for him to let him know that I beat him. My teammates had enough and we told him we no longer needed his services.
He and I are still friends, he had a stroke last year and I saw him a few months ago before my kidney surgery, we had a walker race, he beat me, but I always enjoyed competing against him.
I have found that I enjoy bowling with and against people that give me the best competition. It pays to not route against your opponent and be happy for them when they bowl well, because I would rather get beat by someone bowling well than me bowling bad, and above all NEVER route against someone on your own team.

Well, we had a good fourth on our team, but he was trying to buy a house farther North, and didn't think he could bowl with us this year. So, when we had our league meeting to start the year, we found out that we only had 3 bowlers, and this fellow, who bowled the year before, was without a team, since they all left. Well, we took him.
He really didn't mesh with the others on the team, and it was a chore just getting through the year with him. Someone had to tell him, I got the short straw.

I didn't have a problem with the guy but I was team captain and had to be the one to tell him, he didn't talk to me for a while, but we got past that and are still good friends. I forgot to say that I had to be the one that told him in my last post, that would have helped let you know I was sympathizing with your situation, another duh moment for me.
Two teammate i bowl with now that i wont be bowling with next season. I'm just dont like there additude and so does other people in the league. They cheer when people leave splits and laugh in there faces which is just not right. Our other three team mates started distanting ourself from them in league. Those two were basically walk ons we need two team mates cause we were short in the begining of league and we took them.

Coach, this will be unusual because, I was the Captain, but I got voted in as VP. The other two on the team didn't want to be captain, so they asked the new guy. the new guy is the one I asked to find another team.
Question, does he hold the team franchise as Captain? So, is it his team, and not ours?
I don't think we will have a problem. Just asking the question.

Wow cheering when the other team gets splits is pretty rough. Bowling can be frustrating enough without stuff like that. Everyone in our league are generally really good sports. There are a few individuals who say “Are you going to take that strike”? too much but I usually just say “Yes, it makes up for the one I buried in the pocket and got tapped on”.
I always congratulate other bowlers and team members when they have a good game. Like I said most of the league is like this also although there are a few bad sports.

Dennis:
You may have an issue since, if I remember correctly, there are always teams waiting to get in. I would think that it would be his team since he was the captain but you would be the first team (or one of the first teams) brought in to fill a spot.
