Since I just sub on sunday nights I decided to go sub again for that team on wednesday night that I bowled the 627 and have a 209 average for. Now I'm actually on their team, but I bowled 411 tonight, yup, 411, not a typo 411. Sucks cause we lost a game to the vacant team (not completely my fault htough, everyone bowled bad). I want to quit already haha.
Welcome to the world of competitive bowling Lance. Thats how it is for most of us, maybe not to the same extremes. Over 3 leagues I have a 184 average, with one being in the mid 190s(Saturday mixed), another one in the low 180s(Monday mens) and the last one just shy of 180(Tuesday mens). In the last 6 series's which is two weeks, I have bowled under 500 twice, just barely over 500 once, in the 520s,530s and in the 580s once each. Some nights you have it, some you don't. My most recent down swing started after banging the ball off the inside of my slide leg on the last shot of the second game on a Saturday. Since then my timing and release have been slightly off but I think I'm starting to get it back. Just hang in there, you gotta take the lows with the highs.

Another good night at the lanes. My Conqueror is on a roll. I shot 501. How is that a good night, you ask? Well, I only shot 2 games, 243 and 258. Why only 2 games, you ask? Well, I had something to eat, and sat down to catch the news before I left, and fell asleep.
I woke up 20 minutes late, called the lanes, and told them I was coming. Sped to the lanes, but got there in the 8th frame. Oh, well. Fortunately, we won the game, even with a deduction of 10 pins for me.
We split the next 2 games, and we took 5 points of 7 on position night. We are in third.
I still can't believe I did that. I did have a 20 clean night.

Jock, when I used to work for a living, rather than have fun, like I do now, I was in the Corporate world of dog-eat-dog. Business meetings and daily conflicts were part of the workday.
You had to dress the part. Gray suits, power ties, polished shoes. The image set the stage and fed your ego. You also gained confidence in what you wore to those meetings.
It is the same with a bowling ball. A ball that responds to your release, does exactly what you expect it to do, and helps when you are a board or two off, builds your confidence.
Right now, this ball has built my confidence. So, I give it credit.

181, 267, 224 for a 672 for me last night. Finally figured out my problem and I did much much better. My first game I was struggling to find the right breakpoint and missed a couple easy spares, but I got it figured out for the second and third games. In the second game I started strike, spare, spare then struck the entire rest of the game. The two spares were pocket leaves, though one was light and one was high.

Nice job again Dennis, Good going too Tim. I on the other hand had a very mediocre night, 185, 181,175 for a measley 541. I could not strike for the life of me, throw in a couple of splits, and there you go...a very insignificant ho-hum night. I just could not hit the pocket with any authority.
As a team we took one game and totals. Another chance tonight.

Great bowling Dennis, and Tim! Keep rollin' Lance and Infernocal, we might all be in slumps but we'll climb out eventually . I'm hoping my new contacts will help me focus on the lane a bit better. They're a bit stronger in prescription and I can see everything a lot more clearly now. Just can't wait to get on the lanes to test them out!

I always have issues when I get new glasses. I see things too clearly, which causes headaches, especially when I can see why that 10 pin is still standing . Sometimes ignorance is blissful, lol.
