Thanks Melissa,
I like the new ball alot, It really has a nice reaction to the pocket. After about a game and a half though, it requires you to adjust your line,(like all balls) initially I was not moving far enough. I have only 6 games on it, but I am starting to know the ball a little better now.

Good Luck to you tonight, think positive (194). You are due for a good night wink

Glad to hear it. I like mine too, alot more now than I did anyway. Still getting used to the different feeling in my hand. I need to pay attention, I have been very stubborn and not adjusting soon enough. So tonight I will definitely be keeping it in check.

Positive all the way. Tonight I believe we are bowling the team that thinks they are the best, so it will be quite fun beating them into reality LOL!!!!

So Thursday League. I was in the middle of calling my team and not going to league and going. I was just not feeling to greaat - but i look forward to bowling league so much i went anyhow.

First game was a disaster. I was missing spares left and right i missed about 4 makeable spares and 2 hard splits, on top of that i could hold pocket at all and just could carry any strikes. So ended up 122. Second game a tad better again missing easy spares i opened about 4 times this time make silly mistake missing single pin spares i normally pick up. Finally 10th frame i expiermented with my new ball resurgance. Very aggressive ball probally too strong for ths. I never have played this deep i was probally about stand at 37 throwing at 21 and Tukey the 10th for 141. Third game stayed on that line maybe moved 2 board left again toward the end of the game. Shot a 202 could of been way better if i didnt miss a ten pin and chop a spare. so 122-141-202=465. Terrible but at least i improved each game.

Still figuring these two new ball out. But i
m really liking the resurgance im able to use it when i can find oil and able to play deep and it comes back. The Rival plays about 5 board less of hook and has more of back end the resurgance, but tonight i just could find any use for it.

Team wise we took 5 out of 7. Last week was postition week and this week we ended up in 5th. We played the forth place team which we only behind by 1 pin so we reclaimed 4th and maybe even 3rd cause we just 2 pins behind them if they lost tonight. Then next week we play second place team so we can really gain some ground again if we bowl good the next couple of weeks.

Bad night for me, just couldn't slow the ball down and couldn't find a consistent line.

Shot 193-167-179 for a 539 set.

Meh.

So-So night for me, shooting a 586. I am still having a little trouble with those darn splits, they are killing me! I am way too slow to adjust with this new ball. On fresh oil I'm fine, its when they break down a little, I try to force the shot. I have to move sooner. I did take the coverstock down a notch,, wet sanding it with a 4000 Abralon pad on a spinner,..that seemed to tame it down a little to where I could use the ball for the whole set.

We took 2 games and totals, losing the second game by 3 pins. All in all, a pretty decent night for us.

Eraser - I did not adjust quickly enough either.

But I don't think it was too bad a night for me. 1st game, if it wasn't a strike it was an open. Only carried 1 spare for a 185. Don't remember too much of the 2nd game but I had a 172. 3rd game I couldn't find a strike - open and spares finally had a strike or 2 for a 167. I am pretty pleased with the 524 series last night. 1st 500 with the NEW ball. This was the 4th night I got to use it and I felt better about the ball and didn't feel like I was dropping it all the time.

Each game would have improved instead of going down if I would have adjusted my feet 2-3 boards to the right sooner than later. By the time I realized I needed to move it was too late but I think I salvaged pretty well.

Brings my average back from a 159 to a 160. Yay!!!!

Sidenote: heart monitor results = diagnosis of Premature Ventricular Contractions. Basically, a really long name for having a skip in my heartbeat that gets worse with stress and caffiene.

Happy Bowling!!!

Good bowling Melissa,
It does take a few games to get to know a new balls reaction / limits. That was a pretty good night for you, and you learned a little more about your Anger, your average is on the rise, posiive stuff!! wink

I don't know how you feel about your results regarding the heart monitor, but to me they are not too bad. Just cut back on the coffee, Pepsi,Mountain Dew, Red Bull...LOL..Oh and bowl more strikes...keeps the stress to a minimum... smile

Thanks - it is pretty cool seeing everything from week to week. I think I was most excited that I finally had control of the ball and it didn't feel as if I was going to drop it. That was awesome.

I feel pretty good about the diagnosis. I have been having this for years and finally sucked it up and went to have it checked. I am a caffiene junkie (I love energy drinks ~ red bull, monster, etc. ~ will have to make sure I watch the intake) and I am no stranger to stress so it will hard to change my lifestyle but it is great to know that I can control this by changing some things around and that, for the moment, I don't need to be on meds. That is good news. thumbsup

Yep - love those strikes to take my mind of the day wink
