Well, bowled the team ahead of us, as expected. We were actually tied in points.

We had a great time because we all know each other pretty well, and get along. We are all pretty competitive too with a spread of only 8 pins between the highest bowler and the lowest bowler of both teams. We bowled for first place 2 years ago, and are always within a few of the top. So, it was to be a good night.

I had the same night last night as I had Tues. 224, 209, 194, for 627.

Since, we are all about the same average, we basically had to beat our direct opponent in the line up. My guy shot 245, 235, 189. So he beat me 2/3. We only had 1 bowler beat his opponent all 3, and that told the tale of the night. We lost 2 games and series, only taking 2 points on the evening. So, now we are solidly in third, behind them.

But, it was a fun night.

Thursday League. Well i didnt start off too hot. I couldnt for light of day pick up the 7 pin or the 10 pin in the first game. First two frame were missed 7 pin 9- and then 7-10 split. Then i had two more 7 pins that i missed in the 5th and 9th frame. Wiffed 10 pin in the 10th for ugly 161. If i didnt have strikes in between i could been a lot worse. I'm recently having a bad run my first games seem to be my worse games. I just have to calm myself down somehow and slow down my pace.

Second game start off bad made a bad decision to change ball the first four frames. though i manage only two open. Then change back to my orginal ball had a string of strikes in th e 6th to 9th. I was on my way o getting deuce. All i need was a spare and count to win downby 13 pins and what do i do i leave the left handed bucket. I need pick that up and count but today wasnt my day on spares i chopped leaving 2 pins standing we lost the game. I put my sell in anchor because i usually come threw in these situation and i just didnt. So second game 185 (above my average but could been a lot better)

Thrid game start off with a double then i left soild 7-10 spilt. Choped that. The spared and i think around 5th started a string of strikes till 10th. Where i got X9/ (yes i picked up the 7 pin on that spare) Shot a soild 234 game.

So 161-185-234 = 580 last two week i been throwing the bal good it jsut i cant settle down until second game. I could had 600 series both times. Oh well cant complain bowled above my average again.

Team Wise my team was off. I was person holding it up. We lost first game by about 60 lost the second game i think by 3 or 4 pins. Won the Third game by 30 pins. We took 2 pin out of 7 pin. Probally droped us to second place.

Well I've come a long ways.

I shot 233-178-202 tonight for a 613 series.

Yet I'm disappointed again as I missed some key spares in game 1 and game 3 that could have put me in the 250-260s in game 1 and 230-240 in game 3.

I'm still just a few good shots away from making a serious run at 700.

Most of my issues are just releasing the ball too early, and with my speed it just stays right. I think my armswing is fluctuating a little too much.

I didn't bowl Wednesday (it was my scheduled night off) but I subbed in a "couple's mixed" league last night. Finished with a 611, started poorly and finished strong. I hate that house though, they have above ground ball returns that make it very hard for me to take a lot of my normal shots without focusing on not kicking the return. Right side spares are especially annoying, and it took me 4 tries to find the right line for a 10-pin on the right hand lane!

The house that I bowl is older, so the ball returns are all above ground. Gives you something to kick if you screw up. :P

I'm ready to bowl tonight. I practiced Wednesday night, rolled a nice little 202-176-212 for a 590 series. If the oil pattern is the same as last week, then I know how to start out, and when to switch balls. I'm hoping to score big.

Subbed for a friend in the PBA league tonight. Viper Pattern.

Had trouble finishing on this pattern. Left a few 2-8 10 splits. One of which, I picked up. Crossed over playing it tight for a few Brooklyns, which I never do.

Just couldn't find the line, and when I did, it moved. Seemed like all were playing the same or similar lines. We didn't plow a lane through, but kept spreading it. It would be outside the 8 board one frame, then in to 12 the next. 10 bowlers using similar lines really played havoc.

No one really scored big. I had a 558. But, the team won 7 points.

My average is 188 as a sub on PBA shot, but converts to 200 on a THS.

Well it was another superb outing my infernocal, and by superb I mean sub par, and by sub par I mean 88 pins under average for the series. It took me nine frames to throw my first strike, having left four 7 pins, only converted two, a 4-7 that I converted, and 4-7-9 split of which I got the 4-7, a 6-10 for a spare and I'm not sure of the other two pin leave before the strike. I doubled on the first of the tenth and I think left the 5-7 on the second ball that I only got the 5 of for a beautiful 166 game. I just couldn't carry even if I hit the pocket. I think I was cupping the ball too much and turning early and the ball would still be skidding as it hit the pocket. That game I gave away the first round of the bracket to a 179 game, which that guy took full advantage of going 246 and 255 over his next two games to take it. My next game I started with a 4-9 split missing both pins, then threw a gutter ball the next frame and just chucked the ball down the lane on the spare attempt, had I hit the headpin it had a good chance of striking by just pure pin action but I missed it and only got 7 pins. I think this exercised my demons as I started to throw better after that. The gutter was from trying to stay behind the ball more and not making it skid too much. After the gutter I went perfect on the right lane with 6 strikes on it since I finished on that lane. I couldn't carry on the left lane, going a little high for a 4 pin and 8 pin which I made, a bucket which I converted leaving a ringing 10 pin which I missed stepped left on my slide and tried to get the ball across the lane and into the gutter at 50 feet, in the foundation frame. I roll a 173. The last game I was going no tap with a couple of strikes through the first 7 frames, with two opens the third and fourth frame, both 10 pins. This after picking one up in the second that bounced out of the pit and 45 feet back up the lane the second time in three weeks I've done this, then I just miss on that falls of the gutter a foot or two prior to the pin and the other I miss completely inside. All three 10 pins were different, one was a flat 10, the next a ringing 10 and the third should have been part of a split. I continue to mark after those two open until the tenth, but I start leaving multiple pins. The first ball in the tenth I just didn't throw it well leaving the 4-6-7-9 split of which I just throw the ball down there trying to get the 6-9 and hopefully kick the 6 across. The game was won so I figured I'd give it a try. I missed everything for a 155 game and 494 series, which was high on the set, but considering the rest of the bowlers on the pair thats no big feat. My anchor wasn't there and I couldn't get a sub for him. Somehow we won 3 out of 4 points, with my lowest average bowler going about 40 over in both the second and third game. I just hope I can start throwing better and hopefully start carrying some of those taps. I was 2 for 4 on 7 pins, 1 for 4 on 10 pins, and had 4 splits, thats a lot of pins left on the deck. The 7 pins I've been trying to find a way I can pick them up consistently at this house. I'll do good for a little bit and then start to pull it left or sail right of the pin, same with 4s.

Game 1: I bowl stink in 1st and 2nd frames of two gutters and one pin. I emerge to 3 strikes in 7, 8 and 9 frames and no hambone. I made spares, but couple missed 7 pin.

Game 2: I bowl 4 missed spares and almost pickup 3-6-7 when 3 went into the pin. I made some strikes.

Game 3: I bowl back good and I made 1-5-10 pickup. I got 3 strikes but missed made hambone in end of the frame. I finished 168.

Total: 410 (7 in a rows streaks)

Today the league oil is very hard that they have been oiled to 60 feet by an old oil machine.

Well, I can't complain with my performance. My average is 170, and I rolled a 192-170-182 for a 544 series. We took 4 points, and the team we were tied with for first only got 2 points. We have the 7th place team next week, and the 2nd place team has the team we bowled this week.
