Does everyone have a PEPSI tournament in their state? I wasn't sure about this so I thought I'd ask. Whoever does, if anyone, who's going to the State chamionships? This year I missed the cut by 2 people with only a 4 pin difference between me and the last person! ONE SPARE.

I'm curious about how other people are doing in PEPSI. Last year, I got 7th in the state and I felt pretty good about that except for the usual "I could have bowled better".

I think there is one in Maryland. I know a young man that is the son of a very good local bowler that won the right a few weeks ago to represent Maryland in Detroit.

One of the kids I coach just missed the cut to go to Detroit by one pin.

Good stuff guys. However, I didn't know anything about being able to go to Detroit. I was talking about missing the cut at sectionals which would have allowed me to go somewhere else in the state for a Championship tournament. Are we talking about the same thing?

What shot did they put out for your pepsi state finals? They put out viper here for the finals.

Pepsi State Finals hasn't happened here yet. That's in two weeks. At my sectionals, people were saying it was the chameleon or viper, probably modified. I'm not sure which, but if any I'd say whichever has more room to miss right or whichever one plays outside 6 board at the breakpoint the best.

You are right, so I got an email a couple of weeks ago, it was to go to the state finals, not Detroit, that is the problem with being away from the center I have become disconnected from so many things. I am sorry if I confused anyone or made them think they missed the state finals for some reason.

What was weird, one of my other kids had the highest scratch set in the round, but didn't make the cut because of handicap.

Bummer! I hate it when you lose to handicap. I feel degraded when that happens to me if it's any sort of really competition. League it doesn't bother me as much, but it does a little. My team is in first place in a handicap league, but we're practically a scratch team compared to everyone else. We're going to be in the roll-off to see who wins the whole league later this month and it will annoy be if we don't win because I know it'll only be because of handicap.

We have Pepsi in SC but it's been so long since I bowled in them that I don't really remember the format. I place 13th my last year against crazy competition so I was happy with myself.
